Is DWC Cloning Effective?

Hey guys!

I have a beautiful 25 day old Original Amnesia from Dinafem. I'm running low on seeds and ive been wanting to keep a mother and experiment with cloning. I wanted to wait until she has some more growth before i attempt cloning.

A while back i made a small DWC chamber that i used for seedlings.

Could this be used for cloning? I've never tried cloning using DWC, I tried and failed miserably with a humidity dome and a cheap aero cloner i bought. I wonder if DWC would work.

If so, is there anything special i should do? or just submerge the clones in the water? should i add rooting gel? or root enhancer? (i got loads of technaflora's root 66).

It can be done.

Hell, be creative.

I place clones directly into the hydrotron in the smaller netpot then transfer it when roots are ready to 5 inch netpot. Never have used a rooting agent powder or gel.

Must keep water level high to make sure roots are wet.

i use a simple air pump and a long air stone running the middle of the tub.. water to the bottom of the net pots and stems stick out 1-2 inches from the net pots.. after 7-10 days you have roots.. no dome no nutes no chemicals just water..made my cloner for $27 bucks.. i even used copper pipe insulation tube for my plant holders instead of neoprene pucks.. just use your imagination and you can build every hydro unit seen today for half the price..

Well said. My 50gal flower units cost me less than $120 each to make and something similar on the market would be $400-600. Even my aero cloner only cost about $35 to make.

There are as many methods of cloning as there are people growing. Find what works for you and the strain that you are growing and stick with it. I do my clones whatever way strikes my fancy with about the same results what ever way I do it.
