Is Canada really better than the US?

Just like everywhere there are pro's and con's
Free healthcare is not exactly free as taxes are much higher in Canada
If Canadians are such great hockey players, why have they not won a Stanley Cup since 1993?
The maple syrup comes from Quebec, which is not really Canada but kind of, for now.
Highways for snowmobiles wouldn't work well in the summer so typically cars/trucks/motorcycles are utilized
Dr. Jekyll

Good beer, well let's just say way better than American beer, but that's not saying much
Yes, colourful money that's 91 cents on the USA dollar
Mr. Hyde

They may be shrewder than the US. There is a veritable boatload of Canucks (esp in entertainment ind) that come to the US and score immensely. Never hear about Americans moving to Canada and become extremely wealthy.

Also something called the "brain drain" occurred with the formation of the north american free trade agreement. We lost alot of really skilled and talented not to mention intelligent people when many Canadian companies were drawn to the US.
The economy lost it's chance at competing globally and the usa became canadas largest trading partner due to the abolition of tariffs.
And yeah your right.
With 2 people per square kilometre nationally what the fuck is really gonna happen here

I'm British
I don't have a dog in this flight

Yeah, WTF? We got Smarties. Is there some sort of Smarties smuggling operation going on here? As far as those other things go.... Did it occur to you that those other things are not available in the lower 48 because we won't buy them? Even if we had ever heard of them? Ok, Tim Horton's does kick Dunkin Donuts' butt, but every other food seller in the world does too.

Pixie sticks were better. You could snort them immediately. Are there Pixie Sticks in Canada? Huh? Are there? Man, I'm so fuckin wired.

So many of those pro Canada statements could properly be followed by ... "but America made it great".
