Is a 600 watt hps good for a 4x4 tent
The reason for a 4x4 is that i want to upgrade to a 1000 watt after the 1st harvest and use w 600 watt for w veg room

Will depend on how many plants and the type of hood you have.

What is the height of your tent?

Vos what strain was this grow, cause I'm thinking my next grow in 3x3 9- white widow no trimming just bushes except pulling some clones

this 1x 600w to 9 plants in 3usgallon pots to 3 feet in 3 months, is the standard cantonment/measurement grow

for any and all strains of weed, the above is in 'balance' where the pot size is equal to the light out put

auto strains could be smaller, as should the pot size be larger for Sativa strains that require further budding over Indica strains

as would a Sativa and Indica Hybrid, require a smaller pot over Indica strains, but I urge not by much.

Personal Preference has a lot to do with it, my current Dina Fem White Widow is in a 40liter 10usgallon pot

although 3 feet? high, has about 5? times more bud than if grown in a 3usgallon pot

but then again it was germed back in November? last year ..lol

I work on the old scholl idea of ensuring the plant has 1x gallon of soil per month the plant is with you

good luck

ps have a read at Jorges 12 week grow, and 'adjust' from there

good luck

In a 4x4 you can do 25 one gallon, 16 two gallon, 9 three gallon or 4 five gallon. All under a 600 watt light with a good hood. Any of these ways would make use of all the space in the tent.

Of course, veg times would differ for each amount.
