Iolite Potable Vape

For those of you that own and use this, I would like to hear the pros and cons. I was reading some reviews the other day. Most people seem to like it. The rest complained about the time it takes to heat up and had problems filling with butane. These reviews were from a year ago. Opinions?

I looked at those too. Lot of people like them. I guess I need to decide on battery vs butane.

I ain't gunna lie the battery lasts 15+ minutes haha it's like a electric joint definitely worth it

+1 for the flight. Iolite is still pretty sick but where do you buy Butane at? Easier working with rechargeable batts imo

I personally hate the iolite. The mflb is much more consistent. Then again im not a fan of portable vapes in general but mflb is better imo

I use to rip lil one hitters in the bars back when we could smoke ciggy's in em. Never got busted.

With my Iolite I can vape anywhere! Kinda looks like a cell phone,,,,,,,

I've vaped in bars right at the bar! No odor! I tell em it's smokeless tobacco.

And on the road? No frickin odors.

No LEO's asking "Is that Marijuana I smell?"

Now that there is priceless!

its' not as hot as some others, but the MFLB, while more compact, thicker hits, no butane, won't pass for a cell phone (i never thot of that, kind ofa cool thought, little big for todays - and they didn't smell it? wow, i used to think i was invisible as far as smell, but that's not the case, vaping stinks too, especially if you want more than the thc - higher temp)

if portability isn't the main issue the purple days still has the most respect as far as making your weed go the farthest

i use a hakko soldering iron from fry's $39 + a vapor bros mini-whip $15 and a light dimmer, works as well as a silver surfer, and pretty economical, but looks kind of ugly the way i do it - soldering iron handle and a whip, hahaha

Really? I cant smell my vape, only time I smell is when the dank smell of weed flows out as I open the MFLB to laod another

Well my Iolite came in yesterday. After finally getting the thing lit, I took 4-5 long drags. I'm thinking, "what a piece of crap". I go back in the house and decide to turn the tv on and watch some news. After about 15 mins it hit me. The Iolite definately works. The body is made out of plastic which was a small disappointment. If I were to drop it on concrete 3-4', I think the thing would break into pieces. We'll see.

The smell and taste reminded me of dirt or a baked potato. At least the taste anyway. The hits were really smooth with no coughing. It seems to hit better with a packed bowl and the bud needs to be pretty dry and ground up. My sticky didn't do so good with the Iolite.

I'll have to do some more testing tonight. Damn it.

Some say it resembles a cell phone. It does, but hitting an antenna looks weird.

1. The Iolite will come in real handy while camping or on the boat. (I have a 10 and 12 yr old.)
2. I can now smoke in the house without it stinking up the place.
3. I have a bad cough right now. It did not affect it at all.

Like I said, more testing is a must and I have no problems with the task.


If I was stuck on an island with a can of butane, an Iolite, and a glass pipe and was told to pick the pipe or the Iolite. I would probably stick with the pipe. That's just me and only a first impression. There is just something about the taste of good bud in a pipe.

I am going to hang on to the Iolite.

On a 10 scale I give it a 6.5-7.0

This is the one I bought. $125 wholesale through our club. I have been using the Iolite everyday since it arrived. Haven't had any problems. In fact, on a 10 scale, I bumped it up to a 8.5-9. Personally, my wife and I really enjoy it. It's definately a creeper and a keeper.

Haven't used the old pipe since the Iolite arrived, but will keep it as a backup.

After using only the Iolite for the last 2 weeks, I decided to hit the glass pipe tonight. Fuck....I'm ripped...I'm about 1/3 of this with the Iolite.

The Iolite has it's place and so does the pipe.

If I was to compare the high from the Iolite vs the pipe:

If the pipe high is a 10, the Iolite would be a 4. IMO
