Interpreting a THC profile

Hello,

I have a strain and had it THC tested. The result came out 21% THC and 12% THCA. When smoked, vaporized or decarboxylated, the THCA changes into THC. I have read literature saying that THC content is expressed by adding the THC and THCA together, which would be 33%.

See Here:

That would make the THC content 33%, correct?

i don't think THCA is normally counted. 21% is pretty fucking good. if that gear is at 33%, i wanna be friends.

If you watch the YouTube video, they say it is counted. It also says that if it is tested with a gas spectrometer, the THCA is converted into THC as part of the process, so the THC result would come back a lot higher. Perhaps I should have it tested that way and see what comes back. The testing I had done was from Cannatest, which tests chemically.

Let's see some pics of the lab result sheet

OK, here is the result sheet: Black Licorice 4_23_12(1).jpg

The hybrid is the resulting cross of a pure Afghani strain I bought online a few years ago, and an unlabeled mostly Sativa clone I got at a dispensary. I named it Black Licorice because it reeks of licorice when you smell it and smoke it.

i'm impressed, not too familiar with these test results, i'd think cuts or seeds from this could be desirable

I am a medical marijuana patient in Wa State. When I have excess meds, I take them to the cannabis farmers markets they have here. Other vendors and the dispensaries that vend there have been begging me for clones of this. I am one of two people who have this strain, myself and my best friend. We do not sell cuttings of it, at least not yet.
