Has anyone seen this system? http://cgi.ebay.com/Hydroponic-Grow-in-Home-Sytem-12-plant_W0QQitemZ120340845407QQihZ002QQ
I can't seem to find anything about it outside of this ebay seller so I don't even know if it is sold except through here.
It seems an interesting combination of methods and is cheaper than comparable units and appears to use better quality material than the typical rubbermaid units all over eBay.

I was going to build my own ebb & flow but for $150, this one includes the stand and what appears to be horticulture quality trays and is within my budget and will fit in my grow closet I'm building.

Please, be as critical as possible, especially when comparing to tried and true techniques like standard ebb & flow.

you can build one way cheaper, way better... lemme think i believe stinkbud has a nice lil aeroponic system made out of rubbermaids and pvc pipes..

i made a jumbo aerocloner out of a 55gal rubbermaid, a pump, and some mini pvc tubing which cost me about 50 bux total

Oh yea, I understand that, and in fact I just got back from Target with some rubbermaid and sterlite containers for a flood/drain setup. I've also built a homemade aerocloner (but it leaks like a sieve so I'm changing the design a bit. However, there's something to be said for the higher density plastics used in these horticulture grade tubs that won't bow and crack as easily as the sterlite/rubbermaid stuff, the stand and plumbing and holes already drilled and ready to put together. I work too, so I consider my time a commodity and the more I spend trying to get it right with trial and error, plus the cost of the PVC, pumps, etc. can easily go over $50 after all is done.

I guess I'm not asking how this compares to a DIY system, but I thought the combination of ebb/flow and NFT in the same system seemed intriguing and that's more or less what I was wondering what people thought about. Is this a good deal for a turn-key setup?
