Hey RIU,

I was wondering if a 6 inch inline fan will be able to completely cool down a air cooled reflector,

the 6 inch inline fan is 424 cfm, im using a 600 watt mh/hps light.

Thanks :bigjoint:

Yes, it's enough. I have only a 190cfm 4" fan cooling my 600 right now. I do run my lights at night, but my 4x4 tent has been around 75 degrees lately. I'll prolly have to get a bigger fan like your for the summer though.

As long as you don't have more than 1-2 90 degree turns and you aren't running the ducting for long distances then you should be fine.

You got it right the first time. Try and set you fan up to pull as much of the ducting run as possible. So get it as close to the side of your tent as possible.

I pull the air from the inside of my tent through the carbon filter and hood, then out the tent. So I do: inside>carbon filter>fan>hood>outside
