No way they will be done in week 6. Never seen that. Maybe in 8 if she is fast. I agree, never cut a fan leaf that can be tucked. The light you give them is absorbed through the leaves; so, Cutting off what the use to absorb the light wont help it get more light. You accomplished the opposite. The fan leaves feed the buds nutrients as well. Cutting them off will hinder their efficient use of the nutrients you give them.

My golden rule: After week 1 of flower, DON'T TOUCH THE PLANTS, EVER. Besides, THC can be absorbed through the skin. You steal from the buds every time they are touched, they become less potent. Also, "Never touched by human hands" is surprisingly supplemental to the quality appeal of your medical quality, commercial herb, if that is what you are after.

Agreed: Cutting fan leaves should be done very VERY sparingly. For my ScrOG, I do it occasionally when (due to training to the screen) a smaller branch has a fan leaf that's blocking a larger growing tip, and there's no clear way to tuck or bend it away.

Your fan leaves are the primary way the plant absorbs light. The buds do not absorb hardly any light at all. If you want fat buds, you want to keep as many fan leaves as possible, even if they are blocking the buds from getting light!
