Indoor CFL/Reflected Bagseed? "arizona" grow. need some infos...

this is a little grow i am more or less experimenting with. although if i get anything from it that will be a nice plus.

anyway. this seed came from some weed that is called "arizona". that is most likely not the correct name because i can't find anything about it.
so i would like if maybe somebody could tell me what kind of plant this looks like if you can. the leaves are broad, and the fingers get fat and overlap
each other.

it also stretching alot. 2.5 inches every node. but it's under 12/12 light and growing in extreme heat in the day (up to 37 celcius), and down to a nice cool of (about 24c) in the night. so i guess that swing is causing the strech. but i have about 4 feet of headroom so that shouldn't be a problem. also have about 4x4 sideway space too so i can lst if needed maybe.

anyway i dont know if this will even be female. but it switched to 12/12 like almost a week now, down from 18/6 and i realise the plant almost slowed down growing completely. i think its about to tell its sex hopefully by that pause. it's 12 inches tall from the soil and at it's 8 node (i removed some of the fan leaves because of overt-fert problem initially).

plant seems to be doing fairly good. it does alot better in the sunlight in the same heat though. the edge of each serration along the blades kind of bend upwards when under the sun though. not the entire leaf just the small edges on each blade like it's basking and feeling good. yes it sometimes gets sunlight for only 6 hours at most. the rest is cfl (about 400W of cfl 6500k)

one thing ive noticed is the fan leaves droop when there' in the cfl canopy (reflectors all along wall from top to bottom)... don't know if it's just doing that to train towards the light. and when i take it out of there into almost a shady area, the fan leaves stand back up in search for light or something i guess.

no smells so far. the original herb which i got this seed from was pretty good mids with stoney all-nighter knockout and some sativa highs. again.. it's called "Arizona" in the market. anybody have a seed from such a grade to post up? i dont have anymore seeds and can't get this grade right now

i think it looks like you described, kind of a 50/50 indica/sativa mix, maybe a little more indica than sativa
looks nice for such warm temps, keep doing what you're doing from what i can see

Thanks all for the positive encouragement. shortly (within a week) we should be seeing what it turns out to be! :leaf:

looks like you've got a nice indica dominant strain, I think indica is a stronger high and better plant overall but it's really a matter of application and personal opinion.

How do i know when flowering has "begun"?
Is it from the time i see preflowers? and if so, what is this at the very top of the plant?
Well i'm not really trained to see what's this, I don't know if it's just preflowers from all
the upcoming nodes or is things getting more dense up there. all over the plant now it's
making the little female sack with 2 white hairs coming out.... but it's happening from the
top go down much more rapidly. it's occuring everywhere there is a junction on the plant
but in the underneat is epically small although i can see from the shape it look's like the
tip (head of a black ant) with the circle and two mandibles.

um.. plant is about 21 inches, 37 days old from seed...... it's tall but very stretchy 3 inch internodes due to hot swings but that's alright i could make up to like 8 feet of runway to make it go slightly horizontal if needed. i'm saying it's at about the 10th or 12th node from soil even though almost 2 feet.

Hey little naughty collie smokers... i'm back for an update. this is her into 1 week of flowering i think. let me know if that sounds about right. right now very low lights but that's all i got. about 120 watts actual. she standing at 2 ft exact atm and putting up to high levels of heat almost 40 celcius but not really sweating some little brown spots is bulbs to close at times, it grows tall fast need frequent adjustments.

Update. this is closeup of flower cluster at top.... and then side shot of whole plant

what colour do these hairs turn when ready by the looks of it? or is that really not known unless from stable known strain?

Hey growone, first of all thanks for monitoring and responding to this thread so much.

In my setup i have 1x 42w daylight, 2x 23w cool whites or something (5100k?) at the TOP,
and 1x 13w 3000k, 1x 13w 2700k for the lower half of the plant. I think it's about 26 inches now, it haven't streched more than that in the last 2 weeks or so, maybe only 1 inch if that so far.

Ok question.... do I actually have to move red lights to the top for the plant to benefit from it? Or can anywhere on the plant generally absorb the lights? I mean, i understand logically,
one would place the light all over, but what i mean is, is atleast a bit of that let's say red lights being utalized by the Entire plant, if even in small quantiies? ( not due to reflection)...

My fan leaves are absorbing all the red light right now, as well as some low spare bud sites. Seems to just grow long and skinny then come out to a bushy abrupt stop where i can't even
see how many nodes are in the cluster.

On an update note, i am now noticing the smallest set of weed leaves from the budsites itself i guess. I understand that these could use red light to swell nicely?

In either case, the plant does recieve some direct sunlight whenever possible, but due to rainy seasons in the tropics, such a day is scarce!....
but atleast it's currently benefiting from cooler days, although warmer nights.... 22-24c night . . 23-27c day. On a hot day, temps can easily exceed 35c though.

yes... i grow in a Box. literally, the plant i mean. Volume is about 4.8 gallons.

Edit... lolz.... 5 weeks ago.. she:
