Day 89 - May 6th, 2021:

Hey guys, I know it's been a long time since I've posted anything here. I thought combining three things I love (cannabis, photography, and writing) would be a match made in Heaven. Instead, it felt like a large time and energy investment with a small return. I wish I could find an actual job photographing these plants. That seems like a pipe dream.

I really do appreciate everybody who's been watching my content. It's possible that my idea of the Grow Journal as a way to try to entertain people does not align with others' idea of the purpose of the Grow Journals. I am not, for example, doing it for self-documentation at all.

Anyhow, prepare yourself to get lost in a labyrinth of trichomes. Attached are 6 close-up shots I took of the Pineapple Express Auto several hours ago. I'm thinking she'll be ready for the ax in 1-2 weeks. Right now I am waiting for all of the tops to catch up to the main cola in terms of receding pisitils. Thanks again for stopping by. Enjoy!

Day 93 - May 10, 2021:

Rutgers Tomato 2 was in poor health and not really producing anything. So, I threw it into a garbage bag. Rutgers Tomato 1 was spared because I am expecting a few plum-sized fruits from it. Rutgers Tomato 1 is looking pretty haggard though, admittedly.

The tent is still overrun with plants I want to put outside (the 5 other tomato plants and 2 sunflower plants). I don't personally feel the weather is warm enough. But, this weekend conditions should improve.

After careful deliberation, I believe the Pineapple Express Auto is ready. Harvest is imminent! It's scheduled for Midnight tonight, 5-11-2021.

This is the plant's only near-ripe tomato. It has a small rotten spot on the bottom. I don't think I'd grow tomatoes start-to-finish in a tent again. Most varieties need more space and soil (3 gallons wasn't enough) than I can afford to give. I think overfeeding had a negative impact on my end result, too. Whether the experiment was a success or failure, I am not sure.

I was taking some pictures of the main cola yesterday to assess ripeness. I found an area of interest which resembles a signature to me. Maybe the plant's name is "Lisa."

Day 94 - May 11, 2021:

Photographs - Pineapple Express Auto Pre-Harvest Trimming Shots

Humidity is still on the lower end here, so I will be doing my final trim when the bud is done drying. For now, I focused on getting rid of any withered, discolored, or dead leaves.

I'd love to grind some of these tasty treats. What's there is considerably dense material. If all goes well during the drying and curing process, I think this should be pretty good stuff.
