Indica vs Sativa Trichome development and readiness

I have done some reading and found that some people argue that Indica's trichomes don't necessarily go amber like sativa's do....

In other words the standard clear, milky, amber trichome progression is not applicable to inidica.

anyone agree or disagree?

Well my thoughts would be that the sativa's trichs wouldn't go amber because sativa has more of a upbeat energetic heady high (cloudy trichs) while the indica high is normally a couch lock high (amber trichs) So i guess i disagree. That's just my 2 cents tho.

I'm with you.... I've grown indica before...currently on day 54 of flowering of bubblelicious.... I have yet to see a single amber on this grow and never saw an amber on my previous with hindu kush.... I guess keep waiting....

I dont know if you can play it off on indicas/sativas, but different strains, definitly.

I had some purple diesel that and blue dot that were both supposed to finish in 7 weeks, at that point the purps was 80% amber, and the blue dot literally had maybe two or 3 heads total.

interesting thread, i've got a nl#5 that i've grown out a few times
it does form amber trics, but very reluctantly
and their amber is a bit different from the usual amber pics, not opaque, a 'clear amber', more on the honey colored side
but you look through some threads here, there is a lot of variation, some different colors for different strains - both indica and sativa
