I will be doing several experiments for indoor growing to see what brands swear by their advertisements and which ones should be repped more.
This one will be on fans.
I will be doing it on 6" fans since they seem to be the most popular.
I will be tesing the follwing:
can-fan 6" HO
vortex vtx600 6"
suncourt's centrax 6" fan (sames as sunleaves windtunnel, just a different box)
ostbergs 6" fan
max-fan 6"
valuline 6"
active air 6"
I will be rating each fan on affordability, energy efficiency, loudness, cfm w/ a carbon filter, and overall. I will see which ones hum when speed controllers are used. I will do a video to prove that this experiment is unbiased.
I want to want to get some feedback from my fellow growers before i start this expensive $2000 experiment. Hopefully i can return or sell the fans when i'm done and keep "The One"... and save everyone a bunch of time, headaches, and money.
Any other fans I should experiment on? They must be 6", at least 400cfm, and a true centrifugal fan. No s&p td-150. They are super quiet, but they are weak sauce.
Any experience any of these fans? Only if you have had experience before such as humming and loudness. Please specify which controller you used. I do not want to hear, "i heard it this fan was this or that" because thats all irrelevant.
