In Need of Inspiration Considering Scrapping The Grow

K, I'm at my wits end or maybe its something small or possibly I'm over analyzing, I was actually considering scratching this grow and starting over... which would make me kinda sad.

K here is the run down, I have 6 kids under
1 200watt CFL and 6 26watt CFLS all 6700k.
In a 2.6Ft x 2.6Ft x 3.6Ft Cabinet. Temps Fluctuate between 78 at night and 85-88 during the day.

I originally had the kids in Miracle Grow Organic Choice Potting Mix but had serious problems with it, a serious yellowing started to occur.

I recently (2 Days ago) transplanted all 6 into a nutrition free soil. All 6 of them seem to have taken to the soil. Today I removed all of the dying or yellow flowers. I also watered w/ a 1/4 strength 20-20-20 nutes.

Well needless to say the kids are still not looking well. My PH run off is on the high side at 7.0, but would a 7.0 lvl cause the yellowing and what not. I have posted pictures but am having trouble posting multiples on the same page, so I'll try to figure something out.

Thanks for the help

The new top growth looks fine. The thing about getting good at growing indoors is practice and patience. The soil looks a little dry in the pic. I would use more perlite in your mix next time. If you have a high perlite/soil ratio it becomes more difficult to over water and you will be less inclined to under water as well. If you don't have them get fans blowing over your plants. Now that your in a non fertilized soil you will need to give them some ferts every other watering. Start with 1/4 strength fish emulsion and work up from there. Ive had less than stellar grows too, take your time, be patient, and look at this as a learning experience. :)

dude those are too small for ferts. No reason to 'scrap the grow', feed them water, give them a week, and they will be perky and growing again. Wait until they are at least 15cm and 3-4 nodes to feed them ferts, and start weak

The point of miracle grow soils is that they have nutrients in them, you don't need to add nutrients or you will be over fertilizing. 7.0 is a little high for the runoff, try adding a little fresh lemon or lime to your next watering for a simple remedy.

oh and whenever you transplant you have to water heavily, preferably with no ferts to allow the roots to settle.

I have 2 nutone bathroom fans rigged in the cabinet. One for intake and one for exhaust. I also have a desk fan I keep on them 90% of the time. I added extra perlite to the soil guess it just does not show up well in the Pic. I have Bio Grow and Bio Bloom Nutes, but I used a small dose of the 20-20-20 instead of using the Bio-grow. They just look really sad. I transplanted out of the Miracle Grow Soil b/c I did not want the slow release nutes. That is why I transplanted them into the nute free soil. plants are 22 days old. Any thoughts

you changed the pic, that cannot be a 22 day old plant. the last pic had some bigger ones. confusing thread.

you should try your hand at smoking not growing.

K, I am determined to get this right, just really fucking frustrating. I refuse to give up lol. All the plants are the same age, 23 days old today. Switched my pic up top again trying to get all 6 into the shot. Thank you two for the smart ass comments, you have been tons of help. AND NO LIGHTS FOR YOU =)

Don't listen to anyone who says give up, they are assholes. you will get it right eventually, but it is important to not over nute them, if they have mg then they have nutes for now, wait till abit before the flower stage, tahts what i do

No they are no longer in MG soil, I transplanted out of MG Organic 3 days ago. I did not give them anything while they were in MG soil. I watered them when I transplanted, and gave them a light watering and a small dose of 20-20-20 yesterday.

its okay, I dont think I have room more lights anyhow.

The pH should be around 6.5 for your case. pH of 7 is not terrible, but there are nutrients the plant cant uptake at pH 7 (none of which are required for your state)

Perhaps you should try backing off on the nutes all together for a little bit.

How are you measuring your pH?

One can always make room for more lights. =)

yah I suppose the 1/4 strength dose of 20 20 20 might of been a little much. I was just worried about the nute free soil. I am testing the run off water, as soon as it drains out of the bottom. I have a shake test kit and also a three way meter ya stab in. (which just arrived today so I havent played w/ it yet). So should I flush them and just water with distilled, nute free for a bit?
