I filmed this last winter when I was in northern Canada working. Seen them on a few occasions, I even followed it hunting thru the bush. It would only let me get about 10-15 feet from it then it would move another 10-15 feet.
Fortunately I wasn't thinking of how it could of jumped on me at any moment, and I got great video. And some good pics. I'll be going back up there in january.

that was really cool. i can't believe they let you get so close. if i lived there, i'd steal one and take it home.

Brush creek is a tributary of the kern, so its fed by snow and is damn cold. I had on a 5mm wet suit with a dry top so I was fairly comfortable.

A couple of friends hiked in and filmed what they could. Only about half the run was filmed due to the steepness of the canyon walls on the top half of the creek. Next time, we will have some helmet cams and try to catch all the madness.

As to how many runs, we only did one. I was with the two grey boats, which consisted of me and my dad and then two KRT guides in the other boat. The blue boat that cant tell their bow from their stern went a week later and are WWV guides that saw our footage and thought they could do better.

I would love to get my torch going, but I have limited space and it is in use for growing. When I had it setup, I was able to make a few mushroom pendants and an assortment of cracked deformed blobs.

Dolphin is in the wild, in french polynesa, and the above ground ocean shot was taken in the same place... the last one was a few days before Christmas in Rockefeller Plaza, New York

ps: I never got anything for those pictures, even though everyone told me they were great - And I've always wanted a pipe blown by FDD but I have too much shit I need to get (pollen press, some better seeds and more) before I can think about buying one off you ;)
