Important Ask about power supply for My LEDs Project for growing room

I hope all be fine.

Now I have LED Project,
I'll go with (Citizen CLU048-1212C4) 200

I need to run each LED @ 70w
and I want to run every 5 LEDs on 1 power supply,

I was thinking to use MEAN WELL LSR-350-35

and I saw in the power supply datasheet
INPUT Voltage Range : 90 ~ 132VAC / 180 ~ 264VAC by switch 240 ~ 370VDC (switch on 230VAC)

where I am living my country operates on a 220V supply voltage and 50Hz.

I think if I connect LEDs parallel it'll be good the Current of the power supply (9.7) will be divided on LEDs count so every LED'll take 9.7A/5 = 1.94A for each led DC Voltage 36v
I think that's mean 1.94*36=69.84w ~ 70w (Automatically)



  • is that power supply good for this project?


and I feel confused from this screenshot from the led datasheet
I think I need to fire LEDs on ~38V to reach 1.9A, I'm not sure from that.

Sounds like a plan. Not a bad budget cob, I've some myself that i run soft at around 20 watts.
What area are you looking to cover with the fixture?
Why specifically at 70 watts?
Have you got good heatsinks?
They are probably best run at 50 watts and below for better efficiency.
I've never used the MW LRS drivers before. Nothing wrong with them of course. £39 as opposed to £66 for the HLG version.
LRS voltage range is 32.4v - 39.6v so a good fit for the citizens which are a 36v nominal cob.

I'd prefer the MW HLG 320H 36A They have built in voltage and current pots on top of driver you can adjust with a screw driver.
So thats ~ 9 amps ÷ 5 cobs = 1.8 amps per cob. Although typically you'd get slightly more than 9 amps outta the driver at maximum, more like ~ 9.6 amps
