Im not sure where to start... Hello....

I am new to this and I wanted to let everyone know what I was doing and I wanted to hear some advice. Not be picked on but have some help..... please.

I think I have done everything correct so far but im not sure,

I germed the seeds in paper towels then planted them in small contaniers under 60 watt cfl for weeks 1-6

then i put then in slightly bigger contaniers and put them under a 70 watt mh and 60 watt cfl weeks 6-8

now i am about to put them in bigger ( 1/2 gallon planters ) and put them under 70 watt mh and 70 watt hps

everything is in a closest about 25" x 25" and I lined the walls with foil, I water every other day, fertalize once every 10 days and i have a small fan for air movement.

I have heard conflicting stories about misting the plants.

but everyone says more light more light but at my local hardware store all they sell is 70 watt mh or 70 watt hps

I am on a budget but if i could get a big light cheap im all about it

also i have noticed that some plants are growing quicker then others and a few are just crawling along...... It might be because I just used bagseeds and i have no idea what kind they are lol but i also dont know where to buy seeds.

Im sure I have left a few things out but right now i feel like im rambling, thanks guys... and girls

there are 8 plants and 3 small clones in there

welcome & good luck with the grow. pics would help if u want some advice. I realize ur on a budget, & because of ur little bit of light, ur plants r growing probably at a snails pace. When u say after 6-8 wks u only need a gallon planter, when normally at that stage u would be replanting to at least a 3 gallon. if plants r green & look healthy keep doing what r doing

they range in size from 8" to about 26" its very strange the way they are growing... ill get pics now brb

Get rid of the foil it reflects to much heat and not a great reflective source, you are better of with flat white paint.
And as frmrboi ^ said you are better off keeping the plants short if you are only using 70Wers. look into LST, SCROG, or even topping them.
and make sure you have some air moving.

Yo, there a still few pieces of info needed that would be helpful in determining what you should do next. What is the color temp of your bulbs (i.e. 2700 Kelvin, 5500k, etc.), the reason this is useful to know is because some of the lower watt MH/HPS bulbs have a different color temp than their bigger versions, which means the low watt ones could be emitting a different color spectrum, which can be detrimental to the chlorophyll synthesis. Unfortunately big lights can run a pretty penny, but if you can afford 1 it would probably help alot, I would recommend a 250w HPS, since your starting to flower. Are you adjusting the pH of your water and soil? Also what kind of fert/nutrients are you using? Its great to see that your giving the growing game a go!

maybe it's just the light but your plants look hungry, you been feeding them anything ?

here are some pics..... I went away for the weekend and i noticed some things are different..... it looks like some of the leaves are growing or drooping down... is this normal?

idk anything about ph... .im very new

I have been using miracle grow
30-10-10 growing and 15-30-15 flowering

I was having a hard time looking thru the millions of threads on here and i recently broke my leg and foot so im trying to beable to learn as much about my crops because i will soon need my babies for meds

I have miracle gro and i use it very distilled once every 10 days... do i need to use it stronger or more often? I dont want to burn them so i have been only mixing it lightly

I use it at one level teaspoon per gallon. (20-20-20) every second watering.
you'll want 15-30-15 once they start flowering, same strength.

That was one of the best replies i have read so far-your encouragement and niceness was felt mot people on hear get mad at you for asking a question they think you should know or not grow! so thanks Hoja read my post and give me your opinion,_@AMK792 I think everything looks pretty good, but switch out the aluminum for some mylar- on ebay it is 20.99 free shipping @ a store called HTGsuppy 4by 25ft roll.

pH is the acid/alkaline rating of any substance. Usually set to a 1-14 scate with 1-7 being acidic, 7 being neutral, and above 7 being alkaline aka base. The pH of the soil is very important because it affects how well the plant can take up nutrients. pH of soil for mmj needs to be within 5.8-6.5, slightly acidic. To adjust pH, you must first determine the current pH of the soil. This can be done by using universal indicator on a sample of soil (the soil will change the color of the liquid indicator and you then compare to a pH color chart) or you can also run a water flush through the planter, catch the run off and test that with a pH water tester. After you ascertain the current pH of your soil, you can adjust it by adding pHup or pHdown to the water and hand water it in like normal.

no need to beat yourself up, better less than too much.
I edited my reply as there might be some confusion. That's one teaspoon in a gallon of water, not just dumped on top of the soil (yes people have done it !)
The mylar for foil is not a critical thing BTW, I used old dorito bags turned inside out, a good substitute for mylar.

Also, if you don't want to spend money on ph up/down solution, you can substitute pH up with baking soda (or any other alkaline for that matter, as long as it isnt toxic) and pH down can be substituted with most acids (i.e. vinegar, lemon juice, etc.)

Thanks for the vote of confidence sandee! All too often newbies get bashed for asking questions, which I feel is wrong and has an overall negative effect on the mj growing community. I would like to see any and all growers, newbie or experienced, have beautiful and bountiful crops. There are already enough haters outside of the mj growing community, so there is no need for fellow growers to destructively criticize and dis the new guy. Instead the mj community should support these new growers and give them a constructive education, so that the community as a whole can grow and flourish.

LST stands for Low Stress Training. They are simple techniques that allow the grower to manipulate the direction of growth in the plant. For instance you can use strings to lightly bend the stems or branches of a plant to grow in a direction of your choosing. Usually the goal is to make a shorter plant for height limiting, or to spread branches away from each other to allow more light penetration. ScrOG stands for Screen Of Green and is the process of putting a low hanging screen over the plant and weaving growth through the screen in order to maximize light penetration of the plant.

So where can i get a good light cheap?
im thinging like a 400 watt HPS.
at the lowes in my town they only sell 70 watt and i dont think its strong enough
