Im looking to grow as big of a plant as possible. Would like some info.

I plan on growing some massive plants. Basicaly as big as possible. So heres a few questions.

How big, and how much time, should i veg a plant to get it to produce as much as possible under 1000w lights? Should i veg under MH or Hps?

How big of an area would each plant need?

How big of pots would they need?

Most of the questions you should be asking yourself..How big do you want it? Which strain are you gonna use?

Search for strains and look at the description and it will tell you have much it will yield.
The bigger the pot size the bigger the plant cant grow.

If you want the biggest plants possible, you'll be growing outside.

Im not looking for generic answers here. Ive been growing for a few years and know the basics. But ive been doing it SOG.

Basically im going to start a Medical grow. I only get x amount of plants. So i need those plants to be as big as possible indoors (regardless of strain). I was thinking of vegging them for 2 months in 10-15 gallon pots under HPS lighting, then hitting them with 12/12.

To be as big as possible/produce as much as possible will i want a longer veg time? Bigger pots? MH light in Veg? Also im not sure how much space a plant of that size would need. I was thinking about 10 foot squared?

Use MH for veg. HPS for flowering. Bigger pot= Bigger plant. Also longer veg = bigger plant.

You should just LST for a long time slowly upgrading pots to get a nice big spiral going.

Sounds about right. I seen a grow where a guy did basically the same thing and each plant had it's own 1k watt light. They were huge plants like 15 feet tall and he would pull about a pound per plant I think.

SCROG might be a more efficient option though.

Your height is limited to your light. A 1000w HPS can only reach 4' so your kind of limited in height by the light. Of course if you got lots of cash you can add more light on the sides and go higher.

I have the same issue they tell me how many I can grow but not how big. So I grow as big as I can.

I have indicas and I veg them for 5 to 6 weeks than flower. That does not include 3 weeks of clone time. So start to finish around 9 weeks before flower. I have one sative for personal but she gets tall so I veg 4 weeks.

I allow 2 sq. feet per plant = 16 plants under a 1000 hps = 2 lbs

I don't use pots any more but when I did I used 5 gal. pails. I use raised beds.

I would veg under a MH if you can afford it, a 600 would be ideal, but the HPS will work you will get some stretch. I also recommend Super EYE HPS. If you only use one bulb use the Super as it has more blue in it. It is worth the money.

The other thing I have learned is that I get the same yield if I have 30 plants or 15 plants, I just veg longer.

Thanks for the replies, and very nice micro. Im my younger years (rofl im 26) i used to guerilla grow in the corn fields. But i dont think my plants ever got that big!

Theres a guy on riu that did trees indoors. He used 16gal pots I believe, and had some 7-8 foot plants. Not sure on lighting for veg but used hps for flower. I would suggest MH for veg to keep tight packed nodes.

Ill be putting clones outdoors this year, for some massive bubba kush plants.
