You can send the HGL lights to me :) hybrid, I will use them to build out my next grow. I'd much rather have an 8-Bar but won't be in that market for awhile. The HGLs would be better then no lights. I had to get rid of EVERYTHING when I made the move to Oregon.
Sorry you had to get rid of all your gear man.
Been there with my tools & staging.
Why, you'd pay .75 cent a watt for my HydroGrow lights : x4, 84X's & x6, XB-140's? I'd throw in the x2 flickering (needs a driver). The $3.50 a watt Alphas drivers melted. And the appealingly still operable 3rd Alpha unit you can have too. Everything HydroGrow of mine for you at $.75/Watt for 1,990 brand new (x1 grow with 84X's) HydroGrow Watts.
Holla back on PM.

I said you could send them to me, not that I wanted to buy them. I don't know about the XBs, but the 84x's were given to you for the test grow, why would I pay to buy them used from you? I don't need the alphas, but could definitely build a nice grow with the other lights, and you would pull some good karma from it all. Obviously I would pay the shipping. I was suggesting that you turn some of the negatives around this all into a positive by paying it forward.

That's the thing. I wouldn't be paying it forward or doing you any favors.
After all the doe i lost, mental anguish & inconveniences left n right, I'd like to re-coupe a smidgent of that back if possible..
For Real Though, all i want is a $G (980) What i paid for the XB's n ill give that person the whole Shabang.
Honestly have No idea how It even got me to purchase before seeing the results & already knowing it was Crazy along with the Absolute Worst Reputation in the ENTIRE Industry.
Am ashamed of myself.

I will Honor my word to @OLD MOTHER SATIVA though whom brought up a very good point during the SBD. It Would be interesting to see him compare to a very inexpensive Galaxy as they are both almost the same light at a mere fraction of the cost.
The 84X's sold at like $3/w i think up until this yr by a person who didn't even know what a Umol/J was or understand spectrum to plants.
If HydroGrow would only honor their Warranty i would zip my lip. Now they leave me no choice but to alert the public of the Cons at play.
Yup, MIA, after taking money from whomever Scammie could.
The only people who got a half way decent POS worth up to $.75/w if the spectrum was better are those models originally made with the Remote Driver like i had paid for. Then HydroGrow later notified me that those models do not have enough light density/intensity to flower a plant & they will NOT be getting lenses made for them to be added in the future, so recommended the on-board driver models promising the exposed circuitry would be getting covers sent to me asap. There are no covers or lenses in the near future (just proto diagrams), Also, all the XB's & Micro's (All new Scammie lights) got Epi-Leds instead of (non-existent) TopBin EpiStars, Which are supposedly significantly more efficient & was the primary excuse for the XB's lacking the density they were projected to have.

A Mars Hydro Board will destroy an XB.

I wasn't surprised when you did the test grow. It was right up your alley, free lights for some free promotion. I was surprised when you coughed up money and actually bought the XBs. Sorry you got burned man seems like the MO. Good luck getting some money back out of them, its gonna be a hard sell trying to get people to pay for lights from an unreputable company.

Hold up!!! All your lights were broken when you got them??? Am I missing something here???
I was referring to the x3 old Alpha units i accepted. BP got them to but he repaired & tefurbished his right away whereas i just ran them as they were after HydroGrow Jury rigged them to work. Only 1/2 the boards were plugged in but they began to flicker o strobe causing me severe anxiety like the PO were everywhere.

Yes, basically all my new XB-140's were & are broken from the first day i recieved them. Plugged one in as a sidelight to assist a plant in finishing earlier & it Exploded FireWorks all over the side of my Best Plant. When i called it in HG laughed n said they were not made for 220v when its laser etched into the board 110-240v.
Sure, the 2 blown boards were replaced but i haven't hooked them up to see if they will work. Don't see how when the exposed capacitors blew up?
Yeah, prime example of China Crap service right here in the states. Took everyone's money & ran.

When i get free lights from someone i do not promote them unless i like them. If you don't know that by now you have the wrong impression of me. Many times I'm testing a product for myself, everyone here & the owner.
This past thing was based around my curiosity of burple. Especially by one of the original burplators. I did not promote their product in any way unless you consider my having used them promoting?
Was honest every step of the way. Except when i felt horrible submitting the total weight for HG when 1/2 should never be entered.
Thats a dig at me that wont stick bud. I share everything from the lights use & that in turn helps others I'd like to believe. At least that's what i see from growers looking to buy AMARE & HLG products.
No more SunCloak but hey, i shared it all to the best of my ability.
I bought XB's because i was an idiot thinking at the least i can show the truth about them.
Should have walked away.

It wasn't a dig man, just calling it how I see it. Using the lights and posting about them is promotion though even if you ended up not liking them.

There is defo a discussion to be had about taking advice from here and to be able to discern between showing a grow with a new light, a sorta kinda sponsored grow with that "internet feeling" investment that means one feels the need of defending ones choices (noone wants to look like or be made a fool), straight up sponsored grow where everyone knows its promotion and finally the new wave of asshatter forumers who leave a posting history of ONLY ever posting if its mentioning a how great is one brand grow light.
Seems like recent success stories with led has started a new bandwagon type thing and now a whole new generation wants "that" cheap growlight to be oh so great. Its like history repeating, but with less clarity this time (a lot more lights that actually do well, at least in the short run)

I think maybe for the better of the community we could just get on with shit and leave Hybrid to just grow again, havent we beat this horse enough? I mean this place used to be full of SBS and other good stuff which is the only real way of assessing one versus another; right now i can only think of one going on; maybe if people tried to get back to what made this place a great and knowledge-creating resources we would all be better off. Bury HGL (but remember; shell probably be back in 5 years with more fun)

And yeah, i see the irony of me not posting grows but redstate/comercial leaves you with little options due to security

You guys can have make up sex soon enough.

Hybrid still has to unload or do something with the HGL gear before moving on. That should be interesting.

I would include a free one year subscription to RIU with any purchase!
