I've been stalking this thread for a bit so I figured I'd jump in and share my timeline also!

7/5/2018 - submitted app and paid online

8/22/2018 - emailed about status - generic response. About an hour later received an email asking for birth date and address to confirm identity. A second response said my app was received and would be processed in the order it was recieved.

From what I gather from this thread is that I should receive my card at the end of September. I will post with any updates from this point on and continue following to see everyone else's progress and good fortune!

Checked informed delivery this morning - scanned image of envelope from IDPH shown for delivery today! I'm so stoked ya'll this is awesome.

Once again my timeline was -

6/1 - 2nd & final doctor's appointment with IEC
6/6 - application received by state & cc charged
8/21 - confirmed application approval and card sent to print

58* days from application received to card printer

Looks like they might be getting faster with applications so have hope guys!

That’s great you guys!! Congrats!

Informed delivery also shows my card in today’s mail! Of course, my dispensary is closed Mondays:roll: but glad to see I will (likely) have it today. This is day 88 for me (I submitted my app electronically 6/1.

Hopefully the wait gets shorter for those waiting!

I would transfer to a different one for the day and switch back haha. I heard they can switch within a few hours now

Went to a place on 8-18 that helps with getting a doctors diagnosis as well as submitting the paperwork electronically. I have a receipt for the 3 year card that I purchased but I never received an email stating that my app was received. Is this normal when paying by card? I see others saying their check wasn’t cashed until they were notified of the application being received. If it’s all filed through the website, is it a faster process? Thank you for any answers.

As long as you have the receipt from the state for the CC charge then they received your application

I didn’t receive any sort of e-mail when I submitted mine, so after about a week I called to make sure they received it. You can always call or e-mail IDPH to make sure.

Thanks. Just checking because I’ve heard some bad stories with these third party helpers.

Thank you. I plan on emailing at some point but it’s only been a little over a week. I figure there’s enough people bothering them already. Lol

Went to Midwest compassion care for 1st time and was fantastic.

Got myself:

1/8 Indica: Mag Landrace

1/8 Hybrid: Gelato

1/8 Hybrid: Green Line OG

Package of cherry THC gummies.

For 1st time visit they gave me for FREE:

1 g of Pineapple Express
1 g Bio Jesus
7 .5 g Sojay Haze prerolled joint

1 cartridge also.

Was amazing. The people there walked me through everything and were fantastic. Highly recommend

For any people tracking this thread I have the timelines for myself and recently others that got there cards. The most important thing is just be patient. The wait sucks. Really sucks but worth it.

If you haven’t I would call or email just to ensure your application has been received. Then mark the calendar 75 days after you submitted and call a few times a week to see if approved after the 75th day. Best of luck everyone.

Governor is signing into law a bill today that will eliminate background checks/fingerprints, qualify patients with pain and give you a temporary card when you apply online! Google Illinois medical marijuana to see all the news articles with details. Not sure how quickly this will take into effect or what it will mean for those of us waiting months. I’m going to call later and see what’s up with the temporary card. I applied online 6/22. Will let you guys know what they say. Good luck everyone! We may be closer than we thought!

I’m hearing this will only apply to those starting the application after it was signed into law. So anyone that applied before today may still need to wait. That would suck. But at least they approved the pain conditions for a lot of people. This is definitely a great day for all of us either way.
