Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

For folks who have gotten their card already, how long was it between your check clearing and receiving the card - or is that what everyone means by their approved date?
From what we know, your check gets cashed when IDPH starts or is about to start reviewing your application. It doesn't mean you've been approved, and it doesn't mean you still can't be denied (though to be fair, almost no one is denied). We think review takes about a day, sometimes longer if some item of information (address, legal name, etc.) requires confirmation from the Secretary of State. Then it gets sent to a printing facility out-of-state (no one knows for sure where), and once printed, its mailed to you.

IDPH says to expect your card to arrive "10 to 14 days" after approval, but we've seen as little as 5 days and as much as 16 days.

The lady on the phone told me the printing facility is in Pennsylvania.

For those that didn't see, this is my timeline.

Mailed my application 9/15 express. Signed for on 9/18
12/6 my check was cashed.
12/10 I received a letter stating they didn't receive my doctors portion of the paperwork.
Mailed out the new paperwork 12/14.
12/19 I'M APPROVED!
12/29 My card is here!

How did you find out your "approved" date? Did you call?

The nice lady handling my app gave me her direct line because I was having difficulty with my hospital under new management & hating medical marijuana. So I called to make sure she received the recent paperwork & had to ask while I had her on the phone lol

Here’s to hoping my day is tomorrow. Filed online 10/5. Approved 12/20, sent to print 12/21. Didn’t sleep at all last night. Fell asleep at 9am for four hours. That’s what I’ve been averaging. I could really use a night of sleep.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you if you'll do the same for me. We filed on the same day.

Hi everyone,

My name is Tom Schuba, cannabis reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times. I'm doing a story on Illinois' months-long backlog of medical cannabis card applications and it looks like a lot of you have some really great insight. If anyone would like to discuss, please shoot me a message. My Twitter @ and email are attached -

Thanks
Just want to point out there is much confusion regarding the opiod alternatives act signed 8/28. If your report could shed some light on that it would help.Thanks.

Mine won’t be here today. Looks like two more nights of no sleep and pain at least. Here’s hoping you are luckier.
We're both on day 87. Looks like the state is really set on enforcing that punitive and arbitrary 90 day wait.

I don't wish ill on anyone, but I do hope that karma is real, and it catches up with whoever is responsible for this cruel decision, and pays them back with a measure of suffering exactly equivalent to the total amount of suffering they're inflicting on others.
