Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

Hey folks,

I've been stalking this thread off of Google while I anxiously await for my card to come in.

Here are my stats:

Went through Innovative Express Care
Got a receipt from IDPH on April 11th (not an approval- just letting me know that they got the application)
Called yesterday, got the guy. He said it is still being processed.
So that puts me at 70 days and still processing over here.

Best of luck everybody! I will let you know when it comes in.

Anyone else having issues with the informed delivery website not working this morning?

Brett, I would say that is a hell of a 1st haul. :)

Rick, what do you mean by still processing? Have they looked at the application yet or did they not tell you? Is April 11 the receipt date or the date you got a receipt saying they got it? I ask because April 11 is my receipt date and maybe I can piggyback off your timeline.

The way I understood it, they received the application (he found me in the computer) but have not looked at the application yet nor made an approval.
April 11th is the day that I got a letter from IDPH saying my application was received. IEC sent me an email that day with a PDF with IDPH letterhead saying it was received.
Will let you know how it goes! Very nice that we both have the same application date.

As a side note, I called at 10 am on a Tuesday. The guy was very helpful and quick. Maybe that's a less busy time for them.

For all the April people out there. I was told by the IDPH that my application was received "in the middle of April". Today my check to the IDPH has finally cleared. Can I assume there are no issues with my application? Any predictions on when I might receive my card?

March 23rd, DR (Estimated)
March 24th Fingerprints
March 25th sent off my paperwork
Received March 27th
Unknown when they cashed my money order
Approved June14th
Informed delivery shows today I will be getting my card

There is a god, I can finally have pain relief!!!

Wanted to give everyone my timeline, hope it helps others on estimated dates on your time frames

No card yet. Called yesterday and there was a glitch in the computer system. So when they sent my card to the printer it never printed so they resent it. And it printed today. Maybe next week worest luck ever!!!

Hey Charlie,

I just got this email back from the IDPH (the email went unanswered for so long I got impatient and called, but after the call they replied to me):

"Your application has been received and currently processing, turnaround time is approximately 90 days. We process the application in the order in which they are received."

The 90-day estimate sounds consistent with what most of the March folks experienced. Looks like we will probably have our cards around 10 July.

I just called in... I got approved! The male individual I talked to said card should be here within 10-14 biz days.

Used : Illinois Medical Cannabis Sign-Up Services INC.

Finger Prints: March 23rd 2018 (Day 1)

Dr. Appt: March 23rd 2018 (Day 1)

Application Submission / Date shown on receipt : April 6th 2018 (+15 Days although this will vary based on if you used a 3rd party or not)

Approval Date : 6/20/2018 (+76 Days)

# Of Days from initial Dr Appt to Approval : 92 Days, Although Like I said above, this will vary. If you snail mail it your self, this # will be closer to 3-5 days.

Dispensary Chosen : The Clinic Mundelien

Confirmation letter? I went through innovative about a week later and have not gotten any confirmation letter. Has everyone else received a letter as well?

It was a receipt from IDPH to confirm they got the application and took the fees. It was emailed to me a few days after visiting IEC from someone at the Patient Alliance. Not an approval letter or anything like that, just a receipt from IDPH that was forwarded on to me by someone who submitted my application.

EDIT I've updated that comment to use the word "receipt" instead of "confirmation" to avoid confusing anyone. Sorry about that!

I never heard Diddilly Squat for 98 Days, then I called. I had e-mailed 2 weeks before and got the old wait your turn and go stand in the corner and be quiet! LoL

Hey there, you should reach out to innovative - I emailed them to ask if everything with my application was okay and they let me know it was getting ready to be submitted and that I would receive and email with confirmation once that happens. Shortly after i saw my credit card charged and received the receipt from IDPH through innovative showing they received the application.

Great news, 6 days from approval until the card in hand! Many have said a 10 day turn time. Mine was 6 days from approval until card in hand.

Hope this info helps with the timelines.

The worst part was the last 6 days, knowing its approved and waiting for it to arrive.
That is the hardest part for me. So close yet so far away

Great news, Medmar visit was awesome! My first dispensary experience was great.

I went to the dispensary and now I took my meds and I am able to not feel as much pain! I been waiting aloooong time for this relief!

Yeah I will reach out. I was charged by IDPH about a week after the appointment but did not hear anything from innovative..
