so i was cleaning out my house and i found one of these:

The bucket itself is too big for my setup, but the little selfwatering piece will fit in a 5 gallon bucket. Its basically a disk, with a number of holes in it, and a tube that sticks up. inside the tube, there is a stryofoam floater with a stick on it. you place the disk in the bottom of the bucket, and attach the tube with the floater inside it. fill the bucket with soil, and then water from the top or thru the tube. when theres the right amount of water, the floater pops up. the disk leaves about 2 inches of space at the bottom. could i use this for a hempy-style setup? pics are of the watering disk.
