IGROW Induction Lighting....anyone?

Theres threads on all the edfl lights in led section. Journal grows with indagro, fss, igrow, and led.

Led, edfl, and par t5 have killing hid for a little while now. Matching and exceeding yield. Much better quality.
 
^^^ well i believe thats just your opinion. I had LED's and hated them because they ruined quality and yields. Got rid of them after one harvest. My opinion is HID's work excellent and have been proven for years and from my experience have grown the best cannabis. I dont agree with anything that you said.

That was my concern as well when I made the move to LEDs, I was worry that I wouldnt be able to reach my goal (quality/potency/density) but I am so parano I thought I was going to burn down my house with the HIDs hehe. I had old ballasts that didnt help.

But it didnt matter I had grown with small LED fixtures for a few months and I knew I could get quality smoke (I was crossing my fingers for yield/density at this point) and I went and replaced 2x400W HPS for a 540Watts Fero LED and I will give you that my growing skills were getting better but my results on the following run was way better and without vegging at all. I have been getting great results with my lights and I run 100% leds now. I am growing beer can sized nugs and I have not vegged any plants since buying my leds... later this winter I will start growing fewer bigger plants and see if I can get nugs the size of a foot like you see sometimes with 1000W HIDs but using 600Watts LEDs instead, I dont know that I will ever get that but I certainly get nice frosty/dense buds as of now :bigjoint: wait until I harvest my agent orange she is a heavy beauty.
 
When it come to led there are many factors on what makes a quality light. There are alot of shit leds out there that give the good ones a bad name.

What kind of chips / diodes? - cree, osram, epiled, epistar, fluxeon, etc...
What ratio of wave lengths? Diodes, Blue red, deep red, Ir, uv...
How many mA and watts is each chip / diode being driven too?
What kind of drivers and how many?
What size fans? - 120mm are best
What type of heat sync?
Are they modular design or not?
Are the chips glued, soldered or pressure packed?
How clean is the wiring?
Is the company reputable?
Do they back up their warranty?

Your using your one bad experience with LEDs and applying it to them all thats the problem.. LEDs have come a very long way and there are some out there that are very good, I havent used them yet for growing plants but have listened to research in this area and many factors play into a good system. They are also low heat emitting and very energy effiecient.

For example I used to be in the saltwater aquarium game and hard corals need damn good and specific spectrums of lighting so leds for aquarium use I would say if it can grow coral would be good for plants they have all spectrums of light needed. I havent checked into prices but they could also be cheaper then those marketing LEDs for our use for plants. for that reason alone marketing.. I've also used my T5 setup for my aquarium for vegging plants and it works damn good.

Can anyone post one picture of one plant or one bud grown with this light? They seem to be very confident for a light that hasnt been tested all that much,... I am looking forward to see what RIUers will do with it, the fact that they pretend that a 400W will replace a 1000W is a bad start, maybe in the near future but it's not happening just yet (of course it's my opinion) But the fact that you have to have the light at 8-10'' from the canopy makes the foot print way smaller than what a 1000W hids would do

Perhaps igrew would consider running some cannabis related journals and galleries that would support their $1,500.00 plus solution, which requires that we buy two lamps to get us from veg thru flower, and proves that they outperform every other technology (as stated in their videos) with better yields and higher quality bud.

IGROW must have tried their lights and they must have had testers as well no? why isnt there a single picture on the net!?

btw, no point fighting in this thread about indagro. and I gotta agree that room loaded with PM was fkin nasty and that`s why we do what we do... but it had nothing to do with the lights
