Hey guys I am going to run out of my sample pack of Cashcrop nutes. For my next grow I would like to use something that you guys are very familiar with so I can do searches and get all the info I need ;).

I have been reading around a lot about nutes, and I really cannot figure out what would be the best so before I invest some money I would love some suggestions.

I am growing in 100% Cocopeat (Canna Coco) medium in an Ebb n Flow system. The reservoir isn't exposed to light however the water does get light whenever the tray is flooded.

I understand there isn't a large selection of organics for hydroponics, but if anyone has a good input on organics for ebb n flow it would also be great because eventually i would like to have organic bud, but for right now I don't care I just want something that you guys love.

Thank you guys.

I am still kind of new to growing but I have tried 3 different nutes. I tried Ionic first. It was ok. I then tried Bontanicare Triflex. It was a little better then Ionic. I then went to my local hydro store and asked what they thought was good. he pointed me towards Envy. It's a 2 part A & B mix. You mix equal parts of Envy A & B together during the entire life of the plant. As u get to know it more u can adjust as u see fit. Works great with tap water and they don't use salts as carriers. I never have to adjust my PH which starts at 6.7 out of the faucet and drops to around 5.7 and creeps up to around 6.0 by the time its ready for a change. Which I do every 2 weeks. I have been very pleased with the results and will never use anything else.

I highly suggest rolling with anything organic. I used BioCanna nutes and supplements. Plants loved that shit.

Thanks for your opinion bud I will look into it.

advanced nutrient line, look on ebay
I am assuming these are your favorite, can u elaborate just a bit more how much and why u like these. Lol i know the simplest answer would be "because they work."

Since I am a noob in this department, I am most likely going to end up picking the nutes that the people here feel crazy about.

I would love to have my bud organic. There is definitely a demand for true organic stuff at least in California.

I have previously heard that using organics in hydroponics give a lower yield than synthetics. Did you notice anything of that nature with the BioCanna nutes. I did read up on the BioCanna and they sound great.

botinacare seems to be decent my bro's using it.

im using humboldt nutrients if you have a reverse ozmossis system and can afford a good product there hard to beat. if you have really good water say 50ppm or less your ok to.

if your a beginer and cant really afford the above mentioned i suggest fox farms there danm good for staarters.

whatever you use get a feeding chart just use a little less untill you see what your plants like they will tell you.

Dunno, I'm a soil guy. Read up on it. Knowledge is power!

I used to use advanced but have switched to humboldt master A&B and am very happy so far. They also make an organic and a number of additives and supplements. Check their website:
http://www.humboldtnutrients.com/index.htm

Another thing I like about them is you can get someone knowledgeable on the phone easily and they are happy to take time to answer questions. I never had that experience with advanced.

General Hydroponic Flora series. It's easy to use in soil or hydro set ups. I like FF nutes.

yes i would def say flora series....that what i used in my first grow and if you would like to see how big and bad it makes your plants look then look at my grow journal!!!

I'm sticking with the GH flora series. I haven't tried anything else and I am on my second grow, the first plant that just finished, turned out really good. I used the flora grow/micro/bloom then switched to the lucas forumla about 2 weeks into 12/12. I added botanicare sweet berry during the entire grow cycle and last few weeks humbolt gravity. I am now using GH Kool Bloom also. I hate to switch out to a new nutrient when the first results were so good, 3oz 9 grams dried out of a 16 inch tall bag seed plant. I have a purple buddha that is looking really healthy in it's 4th week of 12/12. Plus, the GH nutes can be found for cheap. I'm doing dwc in 5 gallon buckets.

Hi, I use Fox Farms'; Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom, and Grow big in various combinations in my hydro set up. In fact I use them at a lesser strength than they suggest because the plants seem to like it better. 6 cycles a day through hydroton/expanded clay. Simple to use and it's organic. Good products to start out with until you get the hang of things and want a more involved nutrient system. Happy gardening! GrowIT!:weed:

THANK YOU EVERYONE. you guys fuckin rock, thank you so much for your input guys. After reading your replies, I followed up and did some more research. All the suggestion you guys made are all good, so I kind of had a hard time picking since my conclusion after reading around for hours was that most of the nutes are almost all the same with some variations.

So I made my choice based on the nutes popularity in this thread and others. Also there is a lot of great data available along on these nutes. Last but not least they are cost effective.

Winner: Lucas Formula (GH Micro and Bloom)

I read a lot of stuff Lucas had written and I am going to give his philosophy of adding no additives a shot. For the next few grow I will try to stick to 0-8-16 for veg and flower both. I will probably only change the reservoir at the end of the harvest unless the pH seems starts to get smart with me.

Another attraction for Lucas formula would be that with its ratio of nutes and having no additives one can grow multiple strains. Some of my friend grows have a hard time growing different strains with the same reservoir because they both like different nute and pH level.

Thank you once again, I will probably go to the store in a day or two and pick up the nutes.

What do you think about my choice and reasoning for selecting Lucas's Method?
