I apologize again, I KNOW this is a thread about keeping it simple. I just feel like plants would prefer all the bases...
Higher cal mag/silica to avoid deficiencies and to get large
Higher sulphur from epsom
Yucca ro avoid air pockets in soil
Bacteria/fungi for health and break down inputs
Humic/fulvic to help make nutrients available
Rock dust for micronutrients
Alfalfa for hormones and fertilizer
Seaweed for hormones and micronutrients
Molasses to feed the bacteria
Dolomite for ph buffer because peat gets acidic
List goes on

Never did fulvic. But the media life sure does like the sweet stuff. It's a real kick to wake up the microbes.

Oh yeah for sure I agree. For a while there I didnt think it was THAT important, and cut back to quite infrequently. Then I randomly went back to test it and I truly regret not adding it as often before. Lol

And yeah with fulvic/humic acid in liquid form it makes more organic nutrients like available NOW. It's like tweek for organics highly recommend. Gotta be careful though cuz it can make too much available. I brew only 1 teaspoon per bucket with my accts in 4 gallons then dilute THAT 1:4. But yeah wow what a difference it makes
have you tried the dry form of humic or do you always use the liquid form? just curious as I bought the ful-humix from bio ag a while back and find myself rarely using it. I grew some kale plants not too long ago and would mix an 1/8th of a teaspoon in with some dried coconut powder every couple of weeks. The plants grew great, but still waiting for a few more months before i can start growing some real plants again. Going to be mixing up a fresh soil soon, so will probably brew up a tea to get that kick started this weekend. May add a pinch as I'm sure a small dose won't hurt the tea in any way.
As for my three amendments, I would probably go with my EWC/neem/kelp. I feel like when I topdress neem on some plants or put a little bit on some stored ewc to keep things active, the fungi growth is a lot quicker than with some alfalfa or kelp. I'm no expert, but have noticed this almost every time I apply some in ways I can visibly see the response.

Completely agree, I use bioag TM7 with other organic fertilizer for soil and the full power for mixing with kelp meal and protek for a foliar spray, awesome results.

No I don't mess with dry humics but as far as I've heard thats a good product there. And yeah I like neem meal too idk where i heard that the chemical in neem is harmful to microbe herds or something???if someone knows the science please chime in. But yeah I used to use it and had great results I still have a box..maybe I should just listen to my results instead of what people told me idk lol

Now to be clear I am speaking of feeding amendments, not growing media like drainage and SPM oo Coco.
Compost may be a bit different and I really like Cotton Burr Compost from Back to Nature.
Only one I use and have been using for 10 years. Along with that, I like The Cow(peat and cow manure) and vermicompost of my own making. Black Kow manure is another good product.

You do realize that homegrown VC will provide ALL the humic/fulvic acid you need and adding supplimental usually causes weird growth. Still have 3/4 bag of Humi Solve from 9 years ago when I found that out the hard way. Plus, the worm bin covers the microbes and even some special crobes from the worms gut.
If you haven't yet, make starting a worm bin your #1 priority.

I was about to mention MBP, Kelp and neem as mine but you do also need good quality home made EWC, fed with good amendments, so imo those 4 are perfect.
MBP contains chitinase, urease, phosphatase and potasase. It increases fungal activity in the soil, contains naturally occuring growth regulating hormones and defense triggering hormones, contains enzymes that increase decomposition. Also to top all that growers have reported up to a 20% faster finish in bloom with no compromise to yield. For me that's a no brainer.
Oh and as a side note MBP and neem are excellent food for your vermicompost bin, just thought I would mention as people had touched on EWC. It's great to give them your kelp and neem leftovers after making your tea, no waste whatsoever!

Yes, I don’t really count EWC as an amendment though, it’s my humus/compost component. And like I mentioned, the amendments also go in the worm bin.

Yes that's what I was saying by only adding small amounts of it. It can cause nute burn as well. And sorry duder I make my own vc but when I run out I use worm gold plus. I'm not gonna have a giant worm bin lol and I'm telling u you're missing out by not adding it. And just to clarify, you have leonardite extract in your worm bin like what is in humic acid? And I dont use powders I only use liquid fulvics or humics

For the MBP is there anything to specifically avoid or seek? I had purchased some malted barley unmilled and used in my soil this time knowing all the goodness barley had to offer plus a bit in the last tea I ran. I was under the impression you wanted to avoid the crushing/milling into a powder for it to be 'best' form we can get? Is that wrong? I was also looking at how to make bokashi and was wondering how barley could fit into that equation....

This thread is awesome being new to organics it has really helped me highlight the important ammendments for me I'd go with ewc, kelp and tm-7 I'm currently in the process of setting up my own worm bin

I miss "Biozome" it was archaea, they seemed to really convert organic matter into nutrients in a hurry.
