$25 for 5g (including the baggie...) was the saying around here back then.

1/2 the weight was seeds and stems... :)
I lived in NY. We would go to Brooklyn and buy $5 bags. Then bring them back to long Island and sell them for $20.

All brick weed. People even knew what we were doing but were to scared to go to Brooklyn so they paid for it.

We also all thought it was really good weed.... lol

I have a Forbidden Fruit Cake plant drying and the room reeks of cherries, rotten tangerines and gas. Fuck, I love Forbidden Fruit.
Unfortunately that is the only variation of the forbidden fruit strain I can find. I will probably give it a go. But I have been holding out for the original.

As long as it isnt a CBD strain I will let anybody else pick for me. Sometimes the best offense is a good defense. Anything but CBD, please.

Ive had bud from at least 30 states, Europe, Thailand, Central America, Mexico, Canada and Iceland.

Nothing has surpassed the best grows in Hawaii and California. Narrowing it down, anything grown early on in Humboldt County.

The strain catalog that the Dutch created is some killer genetics, best in the world at least in the origins of all this.

Strain specific is really hard, a Jack Herer type strain would likely be mine if picking from the "factory", so to speak.

Then again those Afghanis figured this sxxx out 10000 years ago. They probably have the very best landraces ever imo. Nothing quite stones you like an Afghani strain.

got any thoughts on a good Afghan strain? I had a freebie afghan and kush crosses that grew nice but didn't care for the high.

if you're cool with ordering off GLO, csi released a line of forbidden fruit crosses
I'm considering driving to Oregon to get some clones. Uts about 6 hrs away from me. So it's a time commitment I am not prepared to give atm. But beginning of summer is a bit different for me.

Kali Mist has held up well as a favorite of mine for 20 years, but Ace Oldtimer's Haze is pretty special too.
Oldtimers Haze is a great strain but you don't hear about many people growing it. Many are probably put off by the long flowering time. You'll be an old timer by the time it's finished flowering. :bigjoint: Not many are willing to put in 20 weeks in flower. But the result is worth the time. I just loaded a bowl and am somewhat sad. I'm down to my last of it. I have maybe a half zip left. That's not going to last until I can grow some more. How depressing. :-(

My favorite right now would be apple fritter from lumpys, hands down was the best strain I ever had for treating depression. Like seriously I never felt a more content high that made me think everything's gonna be alright, each puff tastes like a dessert with doughy apple baked goods notes. Wedding cake was a close second it's got amazing savory vanilla frosting flavors that are amazing, good psychedelic high perfect for listening to music and vibing.
