Went back to the A&W and was told that I must be mistaken that their staff would never say that to a customer. But, I was informed that they do not serve Black Cows and that I must call them Root Beer Frosties. I have to remember that it is a corporate store.
Not really a big deal, but it did frost me, pun intended. lol. Sounds like that A&W franchised owned in the next town will get my business.

well, I always thought that it was called a black cow because of the black and white spotted cows? of course if you dont live in an area with cows or just stupid people I can see wher a kid might get the wrong idea, this was just stupid... however it wasnt till I was much older that I learned that what we used to call Brazil nuts(the slang term) was horribly offensive, at least the kid is aware that there are such things as racist comments, more than what I knew growing up. Does PC go too far? of course it does, but I'd rather it go too far then not far enough. If it really bothers you I'd go back and explain WHY its called that, education is the best for all.
Ummm call me ignorant or stupid, but I still don't see why the term "Brazil Nuts" is so offensive?? Can someone inform me? I mean, I live here in Brazil, and I am a chef, here in the kitchen, we always refer to them as Brazil nuts or Castanha do Brasil. So, whats the big deal? Or is it only in America that this is a rascist term?
By the way OP, you are deffinately not rascist, as someone has already said, this is Political correctness gone why too far. Fuck it's bullshit, you can no longer call a fat man, fat, or a homosexual, gay, because it is not politically correct. It scares me the direction this world is going in.

never heard that one! i think there is still serious racism to whoever was doubting it, but they do not often do anything about it...it stays behind closed doors and in closed conversations, but there are still people out there who genuinely dislike other races and neglect people based on the color of their skin...my pops still thinks muslims are all terrorist, i can't even get it through his skull that not every person born in the middle east wants to murder americans...i mean i love my pops but to me that is quite ignorant and t.v. shows like fox news just fuel this stupidity

i thought fillbert nuts were really called ''nigger toes" untill i was 23. its just how i was raised, i never thought of it being racist. my buddy zack calls them that too and hes blacker then a moonless night
yeah deff not racists, like alot of things were racist when my mom was a kid, there was candy actually called "Nigger baby candy" I apologize for the offense if any is taken now their called i think chocolate babies, but seriously black cows is no where near racist, some people are too over senseative
