I want to grow for a living but have absolutely no clue on what to do lol. Any ideas on how to become sucessfull in growing. Could I just get a huge greenhouse and grow a couple different organic veggies or fruits in large amounts an then sell them legally? Please help I'd appreciate it

start with at least 1000 lights and 20000 plants

jk start small work your way up. Don't jump the gun and try to do a big grow and "learn as you go"..you will fail

  • Move out West to a med state.
    • Learn what real shit is and how to grow on a small scale without fear.
    • Scale up if you have the cash to burn for learning purposes and don't expect to make any money off it out here.
  • Move back out east/south before mmed become federal in the next 5 years or so.
    • Risk 30 years in prison but get fucking rich cuz shit(and I do mean shit) sells for $7k/lb in backwoods states like Arkansas where the local cops run all the drugs.

Get a job with somebody who has already purchased a "huge greenhouse", you can learn the basics and won't lose your ass. I mean any greenhouse, not necessarily MJ.

Take some classes in botany, horticulture, and basic soil science.

Or start small and try it on your own, plan on reading a lot for a couple years.

If I start a small grow on my own, who do I look for to sell my produce to. And do I need anything special in order to start, like any licenses. Also what fruits or veggies are most wanted that I can grow year around (I'm in southern cali.)

Is this for real?
You don't know how to grow, what to grow with, how long to grow for or who to sell to but you want to do it for a living....???

Grow a little, read a lot. Learn your craft and increase your grow, make connections for buying equipment AND selling the harvest.

It's obviously unrealistic to try and enter a completely new field, with no knowledge or experience, ask strangers on an internet forum to guide you through EVERYTHING but be successful enough to do it for a living....???
Have you even left school?

Nevermind guys, I'm sorry
Hey don't be sorry, just spend a couple hundred hours (minimum) reading the info that is available to you for free. Assuming you intend to make this a career of sorts.

Ask specific questions not just "suppose I bought a huge ass greenhouse". Can you take a local class on basic business management? It will help you as much as the botany.

Just fucken do it. Read as much as you can, youtube the shit out of your computer, Learn as you go and in 3 to 5 years you will be making good money.

I'd recommend square foot gardening. You can grow a lot of veggies in less space than you'd expect. Every technique I've seen online is organic (you can find a ton of SFG help on the web) and the produce tastes phenomenal.

If you want to be around long enough to make money, try to sound proof from fans, ducting etc. use smell reduction measures, pump into attic. Do not keep reservoirs outside unconcealed. Do not black out most of the windows, try to keep lights on, around most windows unless your asleep, a house with no light but the front door is a dead give a away. Live in the house, act normal. Only smoke INSIDE your house, preferably with a carbon filter nearby inside one of your grows if you can. Limit people knowing to "need to know basis", and the most trusted of people, preferably contacts who also sell so you can sell them wholesale quantitys. Keep a real job, and don't look outside every time you hear a noise, or stress out when a cop is called to your block and start to freak. Remember the illusion of a normal person, or family is essential. Bring your product to others, nobody comes to you!

Bro I feel you, but produce is farmed by the acre. Yea sure you can grow badass corn and tomatoes but a tomato plant is worth less than 20 bucks. And a bushel of corn for like 8 bucks. Just grow some weed dude
