I Split the Grow Tip without Cutting. Worth the Shock with Pics

its nice to have excessive light,
minimum node space was mostly my goal with this grow
i been manipulating some main grow tips to keep all plants same height
plants are all 15-16 inchs with 25-40 nodes and since supper cropped i have more tops then i care to count
know iam wanting to flower till lower tops make it closer to the main top

What exactly are you trying to do. I dont see anything wrong with the grow. What you dcided to do or how you do it is your choice. Im just reading and learning from you. Can you explain how you split the growth node like that?

What are you using as a pesticide? Try neem oil. I apply every 14 days on 14 plants I have outdoors and it has worked very well with no damage at all to my babies.

before second set of leaves (third if you count the cotyledons) and put them in a high temp environment till grow tip stops growing then return back to below 83 and first leaves will turn into new tips and hopefully the first tip begins to grow again. timing this what iam trying to figure out.
first found out this happen to a few that lived after i fried them.this was first time i did it intentionally.
down to 1 i been keeping like the others gave 3 or 4 other multiple tops to friends
neem oil sounds cool from what i just Googled about it.i had a moth problem of all things

Damn B, even your signature is fundamentally wrong.
Plants don't 'see' lumens. Lumens measure the light visible to the human eye. Lumens are useless to plants. With plants, you need to be concerned with PAR watts, not lumens.
There are many experiments going on with lights now, that maybe you should look into.
At least start here. This will explain the difference between, PAR watts, lumen, lux and watts, and it's short.

please read form before trying to sound clever
post #37 cdm bulb,
i have light charts for every type of bulb,
but when you go by any lumens light distance chart(ones i can find anyways) they are all lumens

I'm not trying anything. What I say is true. If CDM is the same CMH then I'd say you're on the right track spectrum wise, but you're signature makes you sound foolish. Not because of your philosophy that anything other than lumens is nit-picking (5 years ago 99% of growers would agree with you), but cause plants don't 'see' lumens. Growers in the know understand lumens are almost pointless to growing.

but i already had my hps set-up before i knew about these bulbs. probably replace once bulb is old with ceramic style. just worried i be retarded and forget its a 400w and set it to 600w out of habit or something
but i do want to switch to a two 400w cdm set-up
i order my foggers and fox farm 3-pack,ready to switch to areoponic set-up and flower them. i should be at 5 months vegging this crop by the time i get new container set-up and running
trimmed today cutting every sucker leave but the first from grow tips ended up with almost a pound from 5 plants.
is that a good amount of leaves ?
been watering 3-4 times a day by flood feed with 1 1/4 strength mid 5's to 6 ph range 18-18-21
i have no nute burn, do think i was working towards Nitrogen Toxicity

I just re read this post.... again... WOW! Can I borrow the 600?
its adjustable down to 360w,i have it on 400w most of the time at about 6-8 inches from tops depending on temps.
I do set to super lumens mode a few times a day but only for a hour or so.if i run it longer then that my grow room temps climb.and my tops are about 7-9 degrees hotter then room temp.

i cant believe i just read this whole thread.

what a waste of time.

learn how to take people's advice instead of constantly defending yourself, tex. your plants look like death.

This was just an experiment, and you can't make new discoveries by following everything everyone else says. And you followed up wasting your time by posting a reply that was a waste of MY time, so I guess we're square. Next time stop on the first page and don't hate on someones post like that just because you disagree, that was unnecessary. D bag.

Cmh don't work with diigis home slice,

Mhh any other way you can stress those poor things,

The best thing you can do with that light is read a book under it,

Things I've learned from my first grow with pics taken -how to tell sex, Difference between light stress bleaching and lack of nutes, how close i can get the light before stress bleaching, under watering, over watering, nute deficiency, nute burn, how to build up a plants nute tolerance, how to super crop, how to manipulate plants shape, not to use hot shot (big ole stupid stamp for that one,) DWC requires at least one watt air pump per gallon, PH balancing using the liquid takes some practice. I'm sure there's more but that's my list for now. I abused these plants on purpose because my crop 2 is going to be OG kush.

I showed my girl your post she told me not to respond back, but I'm just not understanding the whole effort in trying to do everything wrong? Anybody else? I hope you give the OG kush better treatment than you gave those plants, that'll be a damn shame if you fukk them up!

You could have done better and killed all of the do's and dont's in one stone!

someones girl is going to be upset ....lmao
i have reasons for everything i have done, its all for personal satisfaction. from the beginning i understood how people prefer to grow.i was not after a crop i wanted to built a awesome personal reference, now i have a
power point with pics of what happens to a plant as a problem or multiple problems form and the plant recovery from it.and to build my grow room that's why i did this grow, these are just bag seeds i didn't grow these to smoke just prep work for another crop worth smoking.and splitting the tip was something that happen and i just went with it.fig it was a cool byproduct and wanted to tell people since i didnt find any where else it had been done before but that's about it.
in my grow room i can keep my plants within 1/2 a foot from a open air 600w bulb with a bat wing reflector and not have temps over 82-83 degrees at the tops.and not have any leaf bleaching.try that for yourself and see if you can do this.
i also learned that if your asking for help take pics of your plants in sunlight cause indoor lighting makes them look yellow
next crop will be dwc with fog feed with fox farm nutes on a 3 month plan

Even tho i thought this thread was a bit boring, i do actually understand what your saying and where your coming from with your idea. I to would like to do things like this but i do not because i would want to have a healthy crop going and have a smaller experimental crop for abuse/manipulation to learn as much about the plants as i can, if you can learn all the signs of deficiencies, what causes them, how to correct them, ect i think you can learn valuable lessons on how to grow even better crops. But i can only see someone really wanting to do this as a side project, not a main grow. I say more power to you though

Glad you learned something.

Learning is the key to life but I sincerely hope you put that knowledge to good use. Do not experiment on harmless plants for information that you can obtain from members who made mistakes in the past. Many growers have tried and failed with experiments like this. It would be wise to skip most of it and just read up about it instead of rediscovering every mistake.

Plus you can use your talents to test something that everyone can learn from and innovate the industry/community not repeat what has been tried and failed already.....

It is good for your learning but hurts people heart who knows exactly how much suffering the plant is doing...

Please learn to take advice and listen so that you can share effectively.

Bless

iam learning and practicing plant problem diagnostics.cause unless you see the plants daily. help is people guessing from looking at pics what the problem could be.i have a ton of before and after problem pics i got from goggling. but i wanted to see the 1 or 2 days in between
