I Need Help! Me vs. Maintenance Guys

Ok, so my plants are just over 5 weeks into flowering. I grow in an apt. closet. I got a letter today saying yearly maintenance will be coming into my apt. and needs access to all rooms.
The letter says anytime Mon-Thurs between 8am-5pm. So there is no certain date or time so I cant just take my grow op down for a few hours.

So my plan is to move my plants into bedroom closet that has no need for inspection, seal them up using Rubbermaid and blankets (legit looking). My question is, would it be ok to just keep my plants in a dark period for the last 2 weeks of flower? I don't want to seal them up in complete darkness for 4 days then put them back into 12/12...

Or if anyone has suggestions on how to defeat the maintenance guys please post your ideas

I suppose I could switch the night cycle. It would basically be a blanket draped over the plants, not resting on them though. Then I will take down all reflective material and have lights out of closet during night cycle. Then fill the closet with my vacuum and some odd furniture...the closet has no outlets or vents or anything so there is a good chance they won't even open the door. If they do find them, I am certainly fucked I would think.

I'll post a pic when I get it setup and you guys can tell me if you think it's legit.

Ok this is going to sound really gay and probably be gay to do but itll work... Just tell the maitnence men that you have like all your sex toys and shit up in there and just be like i am into kinky shit and would rather have you not see...

Or just be like my dad fathers belongings are in there and i do not want anyone to open it due to bringing up his death and getting me all emotional...

LOL

Nah try to get them to pin it down "as you sleep" during the day because of a employees vacation and you are temping for him. You must get your rest but of course realise the maintenance crew has a job to do, just give you a heads up a day before.
I occasionally "run fire drills" like this to put grows into wardrobe boxes "labeled winter clothes" and tape em up with moth balls around, lol. Oh and sex toys may inspire somne morbid curiousity!

I think I have a plan that does not involve lies about dead dad's or sex toys lol. And outside is not an option, its a crowded apt. area and I have no outside property anyway. With that said here is what I came up with

I feel for ya....but that's the risk of growing in an apartment....my wife managed an apartment complex, had a cool kind of guy and also a bastard kind of guy who did maintenance...but both were required to inspect for various things and did so...If I were you, I'd relocate your plants and NOT risk any exposure regardless.....and I agree that continued darkness for more than a day or two may cause a prob or two....

I just went through this, plants were 3 weeks into flower and stinky. Luckily I was already in a lights on at night time pattern. I ended up breaking down my grow the morning of inspection, putting garbage bags over the plants "reduce the smell" I figured running the carbon filter would be a dead give away. And piling a bunch of crap in front of the grow stuff in the closet. Too make it look like storage.

I was a bit worried with the bags over the plants, but they were not totally sealed as to totally suffocate the plants. They held up great for about 6 hours regardless and almost no smell from the plants.

I've lost a lot of lumens, I'm down 10 26w cfl's but what can I do. Here are some after and before photo's. I think its pretty stealth, I just need to cease the smell, already have Ona Block but it's not enough for my girls.

I know as a tenant you have a right to a more specific time frame. I would ask if you could get a more specific time, then decide what to do.

that looks pretty stealth to me man...jus leave some dirty socks n workout clothes out in front of the door for smell lol. i think u handled the situation pretty well without panickin.....two weeks witout light woulda been bad...losin some lumens compared to that wont be too bad jus make sure its still 12/12 ya know...will u have much time left to finish flowering wit all ur lights after the inspections? good luck dude u seem crafty enough to pull it off...im subbed to see where u take this, b sure to let us know and show some finishing photos in a couple weeks when u chop em down. :joint:
