Germany did not 'destroy' england, we destroyed germany

ya u never know..how u know they aint have spies that ultimately helped the US to defeat hitler?
US did not defeat Hitler, it was more allied British forces and Russia that crippled the Nazi's
(ultimately Russia)

The only part they had in helping was the 'Lend-Lease' plan, (which ultimately made the US into the superpower it is (we had to share all our secret technology with the US, Share our rocket program and scientists)

USA made us give them our scientists we captured from the Nazi's before you guys would even help us you to start with! what twats!

and before you say you made the atomic bomb first, its only because we give you everything you needed for it.

the atomic bomb wasn'tveloped in the few months between the Nazi's surrender and Hiroshima. Nazi scientists weren't even developing their atomic research, i am pretty sure they were more interested in developing long range missiles.

and too the point that started this thread- the Luftwaffe was trying to bomb Britain into submission, which they were doing a good job of, and considering the military state of Ireland compared to Britain it is easy to understand. Although Britain never fell there was Damage done which i don't think Ireland could have dealt with.

Really? Excuse me but it wasn't one country that took Hilter down. It was a united, coordinated effort that took him.

And wan't it Eisenhower that controlled the European Theatre of Operations? Don't forget many Canadians lost their lives, too, and no one mentions them and what they gave. People seem to forget that many countries fought for freedom.

Didn't England have a royal that hung out with the Reich?

did you forget to read 'British Allied Forces', which consisted of Australia,New Zealand and yes Canada.

and Eisenhower became the commander of European Theatre of Operations FOR THE US ARMY (Not no other army, american army couldnt run a bath nevermind a war)

i arent going to post no more, americans a poorly educated on their history of world wars and also any other war for that matter.

My uncle, a Canadian, did not serve under the UK. He opted for the US because he considered them tough fighters. Too bad, he was stuck on a submarine.

from wiki

During World War II, there were two areas which had supreme commanders in name and three others which effectively had supreme commanders. The two in name were the Supreme Allied Command South East Asia (SACSEA) and Supreme Commander Allied Expeditionary Force (SCAEF) in northwest Europe. The Allied Mediterranean theatre's Commander-in-Chief, Allied Force, the American Commander-in-Chief South West Pacific and Commander-in-Chief Pacific Ocean Areas also functioned as de facto supreme commanders. These commanders reported to the Combined Chiefs of Staff, although in the case of the American commanders in the Pacific and SACSEA, the relevant national command authorities of the Joint Chiefs of Staff or the Chiefs of Staff Committee had responsibility of the main conduct of the war in the theatre of operations.

General of the Army Dwight Eisenhower was the most high profile of the supreme commanders. He served successively as the Allied Mediterranean theatre's Commander in Chief, Allied Force and then as European theatre's Supreme Commander Allied Expeditionary Force (SCAEF). Eisenhower was succeeded as Commander in Chief, Allied Force by Field Marshal Henry Maitland Wilson who was in turn succeeded by Field Marshal Harold Alexander who continued in charge of allied forces until the end of the war. The post of Supreme Commander South East Asia Command (SACSEA) was occupied throughout most of its existence by Admiral Lord Louis Mountbatten. The post of the American Commander-in-Chief South West Pacific was held by General of the Army Douglas MacArthur.

Following the end of the war, the term came into use again with the formation of NATO, at which point Eisenhower again found himself a Supreme Allied Commander.

We should all be joyous that Hilter lost and not fight about how.

Russia did pay the biggest price. 20 million dead.
