I would hardly call 5x5 a garden. And I hate all this personal interest shit...I have no hidden agenda. I don't sell weed and do not profit from it in anyway. But I don't want to see it in the hands of the man for them to manipulate. People need to understand, we live in a corrupt world.
I would LOVE to grow in a 5x5 garden and be legal! That's twice as big as my illegal grow. Wake up and read 19! How does allowing you to grow your own, put it in the hands of the man? That makes no damn sense....

Have you read P19? Here is a quote regarding sales. This specifically authorizes sales:

Section 11301: Commercial Regulations and Controls

Notwithstanding any other provision of state or local law, a local government may adopt ordinances, regulations, or other acts having the force of law to control, license, regulate, permit or otherwise authorize, with conditions, the following:

  1. cultivation, processing, distribution, the safe and secure transportation, sale anc possession for sale of cannabis, but only by persons and in amounts lawfully authorized;

  1. retail sale of not more than one ounce per transaction, in licensed premises, to persons 21 years or older, for personal consumption and not for resale;
http://ballotpedia.org/wiki/index.php/Text_of_Proposition_19,_the_"Regulate,_Control_and_Tax_Cannabis_Act_of_2010"_(California)
Yeah I read that. So Oakland wants to license 4. If you can win a lotto and you have several million dollars then yeah that can be you.

Your right Mike, for you there is no market. Ex-electrician turned legal drug dealer with no business skills is screwed. A guy throws seeds in dirt then just trys to sell it is a lost cause. It will be like brewing a micro breer in your tool shed then taking it up to the 7-11 in a five gallon bucket and getting the manager to buy it from you. Of course he isn't going to buy it from you. Where is your packaging? Whats your market strategy? Who does your beer appeal to? How does your product enhance the magers other products? How will your product make the manager money? How are you going to compete against that 25 year old kid who just graduated from Stanford with his MBA who is looking to cash in on one of the greatest new market opportunities in this country in the last twenty years? Yep, you dont think there will be a market, but that kid does know (and he doesnt even know how to grow weed yet lol.)

Look on the bright side Mike, at least you can prob. get your old job back at the local 419. Or you could start getting ready, because your soon to be competition is. Its your choice, bitch now and get your old job back, or try do something about it.
You sound like you got it all figured out Cryp. Let us know how you do. I'm sure they are waiting for you. knock em dead. If you find that your local government wont allow you then maybe you can go to work for Rich Lee or one of the other few that prop 19 allots for. With all those credentials hell, you might even become a manager.

I'm tired of hearing about prop 19 creating new felonies.... You guys keep spreading that crap but not one of you will list these new infractions of the law. What new felonies are you blowing smoke about?
I have posted them for you before one of them is that a 18 year old who sells a joint to a 18 year old goes to prison for a term of 3-5 years-their are more if your actually intrested I can post videos in this thread that explain more of them

I just filled out my mail ballot and I voted
YES on PROP 19! :leaf:

Wow! What a great feeling! I can hardly believe that I just voted to make cannabis legal for adults to consume. I've said many times in the past 40 years that I did not think I would see this day in my lifetime.

Happy Day!!! :bigjoint:

what you voted on wasn't that straight forward-it dosent say 'legal for adults to consume.' it makes it legal under california under certain circumstances for someone over 21 to purchace marijuana at certian sales locations and consume it in designated places. prop 19 actually creates more regulation and more marijuana related crime.

Are you advocating that it remain a black market item?
Even if it is somewhat "legalized" if there is still profit there will still be a black market for large scale grows.

I'm for prop 19 because it is a step in the right direction and will lead to more public and media discussion, other states legalizing in some form and so forth. I believe alot of the people that are against PROP 19, prefer it that way because of self interest. They sell weed and don't want the price to drop if more people start growing. I hope California can lead the way.

Prop 19 isn't perfect, but it is far better than what they do to people in other states.

PLEASE LOOK HERE AND SEE WHAT OTHER PEOPLE GO THROUGH = http://talley.tv/

Well said, Rob! It appears that the vote no crowd is short-sighted, and simply refuses to face the inevitable.

It's human nature for some to resist change. Sometime after the change is in place they will embrace it.

I voted yes.

What the fuck?!? You hope cops raid some other grower? That's a shitty thing to say, especially on this forum. We don't participate here so you can say shit like that to us. Not cool at all.

For your information, the pigs ripped apart my legal garden last year. Took everything from me, and I lost my home. So consider how many of us that will happen to when you vote no, like it matters to a selfish ass like you.

Yeah, Lanny understands what is actually happening here, and he states it eloquently. I love this line:

The only people who will profit from the undermining of Prop. 19 are narco-cops, bail bondsmen, prison guards, Mexican drug cartels, greedy growers, profit-making collectives and old dogs that can’t learn a new trick.
Thanks desert dude,

I already voted yes.
