I just bought a g8led 450 from dormgrow. has anyone used this light before?

Unfortunately, many unscrupulous manufacturers classify their LED lights by the 100% absolute maximum LED rating even though their light runs at a more sane level below that.

Yes , thats right , thats why I get the 900w , cause it display around 620w, a lot less than they advertise

This is the 4x4 under 2 x 90 all red, 2 x 450 and a 600. Two T5's in two of the corners

Hydroponics hut is a joke. I ordered a progrow 550 a year ago. I've had nothing but Hermite flowers below about 7 - 9 inches below canopy constantly. They over sell their mid quality products at a premium price. Their customer service sucks, from my own experience as well as other reviews I've read state this. Stay away from them and buy from another vendor!

Has anyone tried the Kind LED 1000? It says 5x5, some say more, others, 4x4, but wanted, (((I thought you could connect tents, Gorilla?)) and wanted to get a spyder too, when it was 3K, the owner was selling for 2100, now cheaper, might wait to see about UV, IR, but interested in newest G8LED, two red flower, maybe 2 G8, what size and how many plants could I do with one kind, and then al;l the rest?

I'm sorry to say, but all of those lights that you mentioned, Kind, Spider, G8, are garbage. Seriously. They're way overpriced, and produce disappointing yields, in return.
If you want to go with LED's, look at Apache Tech, Area 51, or even California Light Works.
If you're interested in COB's, check out Pacific Light Concepts, Optic Lighting, or Heavens Bright.

the kill a watt draw doesnt mean much as far as useful PAR. You could have a 600w heater and a 20w light. you need to know the lumen per watt in order to evaluate the actual photosynthetic power of a lamp.

Like this guy, he doesn’t seem to be doing pretty bad? I got the 1000 for $1400, tent 4x4 Gorilla Heavy (haven’t got yet, quoted at $370.00, want 2 tents, will get tent when I move a few rooms around, if I can get to a good grow, or even two tents figure s, (I hope you can attach them, is connecting tents possible?

So I have a Kind LED 1000 with remote, can change red, blue, white and thats where the UV/IR are. Now I need to know what I need for a tent I can connect as I will probably get a 5x5 x ?? Each tent, ((((((((-((( I am hoping to connect the tents 2 5x5’s if not I would like a KIND *as I have it already, can return, but probably won’t, I want to add 1-2 red bloom light’s, maybe a 750 in each one too. What do you think to really get them going? to sure if I should pull the buds through the rope, cut off top node, get two, see how far I can stretch a plant, or leave alone, and put more plants in, is there a level of what the lighting should be set at? I was looking at California Light Works, they are the only other that has UV/IR, one big 5x5 connected to a 5x5 for a 5x10, given the room, or we move and use a room for that since I am legally doing this, technically, there are bo limits on plants only recommendations and since I haven’t smoked in 5+ years, one or 2 when mad maybe ,I don’t want to bring smoke back in so will need a lot to make a liquid tea bag? And maybe the safer Co2 DAB thing, much less smoke, highly effective. I am a pain patient, that has dropped my oxycodone use by 50%, and much more decreases in Fentanyl, Clonzapam, Hydrocodone, Valium, Adrenal, in fact, no CBD, CBT? Was about (1 of 8 medications, some =0), 30 Oxycodone a day, now, about 10. I have no running desire to get high nope, so it works and no wonder, it will kill pharmaceuticals. Plus, YOU READY FOR THIS, when I go to take medication, is as though I have to force myself as the thought makes me sick, so we might have a new way to detox people, and this needs to be looked into, this needs to or I do, need to get a letter to the NEW ENGLAND JOURNAL OF MEDICINE and explain, just like pharmaceuticals, cannabis may stop your desire, depending on your reaction and for me, CBD, CBS, CBT, whatever it is, tried, nothing, writer, artist, songwriter, editor, et-cetera, only Sativa works for me.

Both grow with mostly Cree COB LEDs that will provide boatloads more light using less power than any of the lights in the picture you shared. The old blurple lights will grow weed, but with lower yield and poor quality buds. Read through some of the grow and build threads in this forum, and you'll realize that crappy Chinese LED light manufacturers are ripping you off with overdriven, overheated, inefficient LEDs that will begin to fail after a few grows.

He didn't get much, which made him upset, and embarrassed. That's why he never shared it online, we see it here all the time, people who are going to show us how good the cheap LED's work. They never end up completing their grow journal, and stop frequenting the site, altogether.
Speaking of which, this is like the third time in the last month that a lesser known member has come in here and tried to casually drop G8's name as a high end LED grow light. It is not, it is an ineffective, overpriced, severely outdated piece of junk, that disappoints every time.
With the same amount of watts that he's using to fill that 4x4 tent, I covered an 8x4 tent, and had a far better yield. To put things more into perspective, that was 3 years ago, using 1w LED's (ProSource).
G8 is junk, danger, Will Robinson, danger!

All I have is a Kind LED 1000, now, I still need clones, signed up to a great place lab in LA until clones are going of my own, and I am using the KIND LED XL1000, I still need a tent, probably Gorilla, and also am interested in the CALIFORNIA LIGHT WORKS, but will check it out - if it works, I will get it, but am sure, the Kind WILL produce something especially, I didn’t pay as much, new, and haven’t made the huge investments yet - am also interested in Advanced Nutrients, or is that a scam, please, anyone, with LED, great GRO STORIES, I would LOVE TO KNOW as I am not a troll but someone on pain meds that has cut down and realized its much pricier than RX, so, I need to go my own, so please, share your grows or suggestions for lights away,,,,I am ready!!

I use HydroGrow leds and I have great success. I did not Like my grow using G8 didn't like the customer service even less....

So I expect a KIND 1000 should be good in a 5x5, using used as a 4x4 so I can walk, then another, or 2x4, add another 2x4, connect if possible, or 2x8? can you with Gorilla? Terrible, first grow experience, no, great, then terrible with right light, great with wrong..

I got some clones after my card, was fascinated, added a bunch of 300, 75watt each, flourestests, 12/12. grew fast, then, for the past three weeks in VEG, I was 18/8, I did;t know you veg, until two leaves, or so biobiz nuts say week five is from seedling and week five, is just about leaving veg, but the hours should have been 12/12 right because these plants just did;t grow, freaked them out, light went off, don’t get the co2 yet, don’t have a 100% proof room, would like my Kind, a few Black Dogs or California or maybe make a few crees if not to hard, ex EE.
Do you have to spray the ph meter probe with air every time you rinse with RO water or can you wait until done? Awfully time consuming, apparently, new self fixing ph coco coming.

I will agree that G8LED is disappointing! I did a side by side of blue dream, and the blue dream under a 600w HPS was way more denser then the G8LED 600. I got massive buds under the G8 but they were light and fluffy, the blue dream under HPS , buds were the same size but so much denser. Same size buds that were grown under the G8 but weighed 3 grams or more per bud after drying . Pretty disappointed. Getting rid of it probably and sticking to MH for veg and HPS for flowering . These buds where I am wearing gloves, all together after drying weighed 24 grams. The pic without me wearing gloves, weighed 8 grams after drying , and I had 4 of those and weighed in at 32 grams. Same conditions besides light, using subcools super soil. Maybe the light wasn't close enough , I don't know. I had it 30 inches away from canopy without extra 90w red light. Figured the red light spectrum from the HPS right next to it would be enough. Idk

I hope you get a decent refund. Wish more people would ask led gurus about lights before buying. It's sick other forums are all sock puppets for the shit led companies.
