I have a confession...

5 gallon buckets with tons of 1-2" drill holes works well too. Depot is 3.78 a bucket and you can defo find them cheaper. To date my biggest and best plant was a Dinafem critical in a 5g bucket. I don't mess with used soil. I feel all the shit living in there and all the nute build up over time can't be good. For 5 gallon pots I use 1.5 bags at $25 a bag for Promix hpcc. So it's fairly inexpensive to fill them up.

Nutes I use flora duo A&B with calmag, sugar daddy- for mag and sulfur, nectar of the gods as ph up, gh silica, bioweed, and some amino acid stuff. I started them at 25% strength 400ppm at day 7 once a week up to 100% strength 1600ppm every 36 hours when the buds started getting fat. Haven't had any deficiency at all but I did get some serious light burn from my cobs with lenses. Underestimated the power of these things.

Nute wise I think it's 25 a gallon each and I used one full gallon on my perpetual grow with 28 plants total.

I run ph perfect sensi bloom you could probably grow in a tube sock with em so used soil is no issue :bigjoint: and if you flush with boiling water nothing is living at that point

The bags are cheap. I think they are $3 each at my shop, 5 gallon and has handles. I like the air pots cause they are easy to clean being ridgid plastic. Speaking of bad yield I just dumped half of 4 plants to be turned into Rso. Girl Scout cookies can be good and this time isn't worth the time.
Bro would you be pulling that 8 from a plant in a 5 gal?

I have a mix of 5&7 gallon air pots. Trying to decide which I like better. 5 gallon is perfect for small plants but I'm learning now the 7 gallon is needed for monsters. With the 7 gallon I can stretch 2.5 days with the 5 gallon I'm 1.5 days

A lot disagree, so many people do amazing in 3 gallon but this works for me

as far as the used soil...ive dropped small plants into cavities carved out of a just harvested pot (solid roots) and grown very large, good yielding plants with just top dressing and basic nutrition.

I havent tossed any soil in a couple years. I keep a few rubbermaid cans and cycle my soil through them adding leaves worms, trim etc. When i'm ready to start a new crop I send it off for a test and go from there.

I also been looking at sweet seeds...at first I was looking a dark devil but I can see why this is not there top strain anymore. A lot of people were trying to back them but after reading it's clear the strain don't really put out weight. It seem their devil cream does nice...very airy buds but the color will sell it. If I ran them is a very light soil and in 5 gallon buckets I should be able to get a pound with 10 outside...

Is this needed for outside soil as well?
It's not needed but really helps to not spread anything to the next grow .... You just kick your bennies off when you add amendments to the pile .... Humic acid works wonders at the start of a grow

I don't test mine but I'll use pepper plants as canaries since they are pretty Nute sensitive when smaller and dislike compact soggy soil I'll just stick a clipping in a small pot

I have been growing autos for over a year now. The reason I started growing autos was because someone gave them to me. I tried to grow photos b4 which failed badly. None of the autos I have ever grown have yield me over a zip. I hear everyone say that if you run the same strain a few times then my yields will get higher. But the truth is I don't want to have to figure out a complex feedin schedule or have to run the same strain for a year before I'm happy with it. I picked up buddha seeds syrup only because I seen a few vids were the grow pulled 5+ zips. One guy pulled something like 7.9. Well lets just say I'm didn't t get even close. I won't run this strain again if I'm not able to get seeds of the plant I've been spraying. I won't strain that gives me weight the first time without alot of work. My next strain is pyramid seeds fresh candy auto which is just sweet tooth....

Some may say I'm giving up but I know myself. Im not consistent about anything. I honestly feel this why most people who have tried autos feel it's a waste of time. The reason I keep growing them is because I'm inconsistent and don't have to work about a strict lighting schedule....this is just me venting
