I got drunk and woke up with a cat

So last night a friend and I went to a party, we decided to pre game at a bar near my place before heading down and before we left we were standing outside talking with some friends and this random cat walked right up to me and started purring and rubbing on me. Me being the friendly drunk I am gave it some attention and didn't think anything of it.

We headed down to the party played a bunch of beer pong/flip cup and had a general good time then caught a cab back, after getting some food we're watching tv in my living room and heard a meow. Sitting on my porch was the same cat from the bar (I live a few blocks over and this was hours later) so long story short I gave it some milk and after checking to see if it was healthy let it inside. He's really affectionate actually purrs a lot and likes to sit on your lap, other than being skinny he seems to be healthy. My one room mates birthday is today and she absolutely loves him so this morning I went across the street to kmart bought him a litterbox which he used right away and some real food.

Guess I have a cat now

I started feeding a stray about 8 months ago; she's this old, decrepit, skinny, mangy, arthritis ridden cat, and now she lives on my porch and is attempting to move inside.

I woke up with a cat after getting drunk once too.... years ago I was drinking at a beach in Delaware and woke up parked at then end of the road where it met the beach and was a cat in my car... I think we took a drunken drive to get more beer and picked up a stray somewhere along the way, not sure I think it was a neighborhood cat that climbed aboard for the ride... she ended up with a friend because back then I could barely take care of myself

Who said I wasn't sentimental I have a soft spot for animals. He's friendly not skittish around humans and already uses the litterbox, I thought about it and it's really no work to take care of him and if I put him back outside he's going to get hit by a car or starve or something.

Nice! I'd be best to check it for ticks and fleas too. Don't want them in the house. Beef that cat up and you got yourself a guard dog err cat

Cute cat. Strays are usually full of parasites so get him some flea and worm protection. If you plan on keeping the cat, get it fixed.

I was never a cat person, but we had a cat 'adopt' us once. She just started hanging out at the back door. She finally moved in & we kept her for years. Best & only cat we've ever had. I'll only get another one if it adopts me.......I still miss her........

I used to have a neighborhood stray I took care of. I named him hoonji. I would feed him whenever I grilled out and make sure he had the occasional treat or cat food. If it got too cold out here I would let him into the hallway but never inside. I was sad to see the nieghbor had him taken him to get fixed only to have him put down because hoonji had feline AIDS.

i use orijin, cat loves it and has a open bowl, scat doesn't even smell, in the litter box(did at first)


this is a list for a newer dog food brand actually but they all similar, i use the regular cat mix

I don't think that's a stray and the fact that it's familiar with the litter tray says that it has been an indoor cat. Can you get her scanned for a microchip or ask/tell the local police??
