Can we all at least agree that those led' are some of the worst least producing lights you can buy today? Cuz the op asked and that's what I believe so I answered. am I wrong are these lights not outdated?

They aren’t great, they are outdated. They will be okay for a first run, just not great. I agree.
The cheap blurples are slightly more efficient than HPS, but that’s negligible for those lights. LED penetration can be very good but the spectrum is worse on a lot of those old models. 600 real watts of cheap blurple vs 600 watts of hps? Would rather have an HPS myself, but slightly better LED is a sweet spot for me. I grew with a 600 HPS and 6500k T5’s for a couple years, it was good. I want to pimp my lights more, and I am definitely moving away from HID in the long run. I might put my lemon tree under the 600 in the winter, though. LEMONS, bitches!

It sort of does...I prefer donkey dicks with the girth of a quart jar, myself. With 1000 real watts of combined shitty blurple, T5HO and CFL, I have grown them, but not with straight blurple. It’s a lot simpler to hang one HPS than all that shit.

It looks good, man, but you aren’t going to be growing trees like a 600 hps does, not even with two of those Meizhi lights. I lost this harvest to a landlord inspection, Bruce Banner cut under 600hps.Those tomato cages are four feel tall, plants had not quite a month of veg.
Not an example of donkey dicks, just things to come, it would have been near a pound, wink. I have grown with a few different lighting types at this point. You should run an HPS one time just so you know what it is like, if you have not. I want to go pure custom (midpower white Samsung or Citizen, mixed with select monos) LED someday soon

Thank you I appreciate the information. But I would not run HPS They Run 2 Hots cause heating issues 600 yes is the most efficient by far but still produces more heat than light. If I was to run 600 watts it would be of LED. I know blurple are not the best if I could afford it I would get me one of them i n Quantum boards with the nice full spectrum without the purple light. But right now I'm not in a position to spend that much money on a light. And I would never waste money on an HPS that is even more outdated than a blurple

No worry, just a suggestion. They do grow some motherfucking LEMONS, though, my Meyer lemon loves that shit. To each their own.
I am considering running a 400 watt hps and 570 watts of blurple with lenses at the same time, just to piss off all of the light cultists at once, and grow mad dank.

that's cool. I like lemons also. It is good to see that there are some people here that are down to earth and don't look down upon new Growers. I'm not the best grower I'm still learning the ropes myself just got my PPL in October and already throwing some decent bud. Have not killed a plant yet can't wait till I get better equipment this is a hobby I really enjoy nothing better than smoking your own bud. Not bad for a begginer

Best of luck, you can grow some shtank with that light, just not lots of it. Take your time and grow into your skills as you upgrade your gear, everyone else is doing the exact same thing, with an odd expert mixed in. You’re good to go.
I have only been at this a handful of years, it is an amazingly rewarding hobby.
