I am ready to be amazed!

Hi all, I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.
I wanted to give you an update on my first Quantum LED grow.
These plants are 28 days into 12/12.

My QB is 260 watt adjustable, and is at full power.
The light is 6" from the top of my plants.

At only 4 weeks flowering these budlets are filling out nicely.

If these girls continue to fatten up, this will be my best harvest yet!!

What´s the temp in this room ?
Looks like the girls took their green jacket a little to tide.
That can be a sign that they have it a little to cold otherwise their leaves would turn to the sky.
It may help to turn that ventilator to another direction like it winds directly under the leds instead of directly to the plants.
looks like it´s a bit cold in that room as i see the plants cry out loud they have it cold.
Better know the way your girls doing otherwise they will dissapoint you.

Thanks for the input.
It is 75 during the day and 60 during dark.
I'll have to see if I can raise the temps a bit more.
I will adjust the fan as well.
May be able to slow down my exhaust fans

60 fahrenheit is a bit to low at dark and the 75 on day may be well a very minimum .
Have you heard of that tubeheaters? Don´t know how much m2 your growspace is but there are tubeheaters which use only 80 watts of power and are 60 cm large in size.
If that´s to large buy the smaller one from 45 cm with 40 watts . The 80 watts 60 cm versions cost around 35 Euro or Dollar .
Set this tubeheater on a thermostate at 70 at night and on day set it at 80/85 and your girls will be gratefull.
They use this tubeheaters original for boats or garages to keep the temps in acceptable terms to prevent mold .
Temps are maybe more important then pars and lumens and since you have a quality light i think it´s a good idea to keep the temps on an acceptable level . That Hlg light and a good temperature control is a golden combination so why not use it.

I did a short bit of looking on Amazon.
Couldn't find the tube heaters.
Do you have a link or more detailed description?
TIA

So the ones that I found don't have a good thermostat.
I currently am using a chicken coop heater, tied to a temperature activated outlet.
I have a remote temp sensor.
I just looked at my temps again and seems I was quite a bit off.
Daytime temps are average of 83 and dark temps are average of 74.

Sorry i was stoned and forgot there are different types of tubeheaters.
I ment the model in the next video which is made under different brands but to get the idea .

This one is without thermostate and you have to buy one apart for lets say 10 dollar at aliexpress .

Maybe they have this type with a build in thermostate , that would save some work.

Quantum LED Harvest.

This is going to be a longer post.
There have been some who have been following my first QB grow.
So here is the harvest pictures, and for comparison I'll post a couple of pictures of my last CFL harvest.

So this is just under 12 weeks flowering time.
Starting with a quick comparison.
My QB harvest.

My last CFL harvest.

Quite a difference, I expected a better harvest, but this is amazing.
My QB harvest on my drying rack.

And my CFL harvest.

In both cases the same strain, i did let the QB grow an additional week of flowering.
Here are more pictures of the QB grow.

This is by far the largest buds I have grown (inside or out)

Yes those are regular 12 oz bottles.
Here are some shots of the trichomes.

I noticed that the QB grow started to suck the nutes out of the fan leaves for the last two weeks.
I finished with the QB on full power 260 Watts, and about 8 inches from the tallest cola.

I am amazed at how much better the QB does than the CFL.
I will be posting my final weight, I'm guessing 8oz total?
I have placed a Do-si-dos strain under my QB for vegging.

Final harvest weight
As the original post was titled "I am amazed"

I thought I was doing quite well with my CFL lights.
But man oh man am I surprised !!!

Fresh off the drying rack after 9 days

After trimming and ready to put into jars for curing

So for comparison my last CFL grow was 5.5 oz off of two Northern Lights plants.

This harvest is 10.8 oz off of two Northern Lights plants.
Twice as much, and colas the size of beer bottles.
Even made it into trophy pics on one forum.

I am switching to a different strain do-si-dos, I'll see how it grows under the QB.

Not trying to be a dick but what forum was that - Larfiest Fluffer Buds?
I just had a variety that finished as a fox tailed loose mess also so she got the cut and won't be seen or spoken of again except as a reminder of stay away from that cut lol
Kinda reminds me of the 'freebie' Aurora Indica bean I just finished...

Damn. Great job mike. Those Cola’s are amazing. I’m thinking of buying this spider farmer 2000 on amazon. Just looks a little easier than buying the kit from HLG. Did you do any research on those?
Any heat or height issues with the switch to leds?
I’ve been pulling 6oz out of basically the same box with a DWC system and I’m really hoping to follow in your footsteps by doubling my take.

Thanks for the compliment.
I did a bit of research before buying the QB.
I don't know how you are at DIY but the QB from HLG the 260 kit, was very easy to assemble.
Couple of things from memory, there was enough wire for me to mount my controller on the outside of my cabinet.
That was to help with the heat, and also gives me 2 more inches of height adjustment.
I have 2 PC fans as exhaust, and I didn't have any problems with heat.
The HLG is also adjustable so you can turn down the power to start.
I currently have 1 do-si-dos under the QB, and I started out on low power and 20 inches from the canopy (scrog screen)
After one week I increased the power on the controller.

Good luck
Mike

Damn this is wild. Our cabs are almost identical. We started with almost identical DIY CFLs and results.
And I ordered Do Si Dos two days ago.
I think I’m gonna order that same HLG light and I’ll be a couple weeks behind you with the Do Si Dos

Brother, something went wrong during that flower cycle and it looks to me like your plants re-vegged.
Those buds aren't foxtailed they're just not done. Something's gone really wrong at some point during that cycle.

Did you have a fuck up with the timer at any point?

Nope no problems with the light timer.
Maybe they look like this because I don't manicure my buds as I only use them for edibles.
They are potent .
