Hydroponics or compost? what do you use and why?

I have planted a seed in HYDRO and a seed in soil at the same time.

See if you notice any difference.

Double click the pics, then double click them again to enlarge the pics.

Same Lights, same nutes.

In Hydro, they eat and drink 24/7 with an abundance of supplied oxygen, that SOIL plants do not get.

wow rose, you suck at soil. no offence, i wish i did and ruled at dro... but i suck at dro and i guess im decent at soil. heres some of my 3 week olds in soil.

now they arent as big as yours, in just saying, thats a fucking stunted seedling your compairing them to.

but back to the point, he is right, hydro grows much faster, much healthier and bigger. but it is hard, it is so easy to fuck up, you dont have time to fix any problem like you do with soil, with soil you have a day or two to fix problems, with dro you have a few hours.

with soil the budd tastes better too. but you cant get as much and it will grow slower.

lol rose, i have your whole setup! the air pump is the same, the tote is the same, the lights are the same, even how you use both kinds of cfls.

wow sweet dude!!!!!! what dya mean thou wen u say supplied oxygen?

I have two twelve inch Air Stones (like in a large aquarium) and an exterior air pump, pumping oxygen in the water and to the roots . I also have a submersive (in the water) water pump, that pumps AIR, WATER and NUTES to an Irrigation Hub, that mixes the water and air adn sends it to each and every root ball, and grow cup. Roots love oxygen, and grow much faster.

as with soil you have to make sure it drys out enough for the root ball to breath. gata make sure not to overwater because the water is not airated, like in the hydro system.

why would a bud taste better though thats been grown in soil? surely it would taste the same????? due to having same nutes and care etc etc...

People argue or debate that bud tastes different or even better in one, over the other;soil over hydro, or hydro over soil.

I doubt anyone can taste any difference, I sure can't.

have you ever smoked them side by side out of a vape? some say the the stuff grown in dirt taste like dirt, and that because hydro gives it no dirty tase its less harsh. i dont care either way, if it gets you high im good...

I have never been able to compare two same strains, one from dirt, and one from soil.
Many, about half of the growers say the opposite of what you posted, that SOIL grown tastes better.
I do not know for 100% sure.

tastes better in soil? i dunno... IMHO hydro buds taste WAY better than soil. and in my personal exp, you can cultivate MUCH more in soil than in hydro... maybe you guys are little more exp. than me. ive only been into it for a few years now, and only did straight hydro for maybe 6-7 months. the buds were dense as hell though... i dunno if it was from the 1400 watts in my closet or just from the nice little hydro setup we had going. but very nice buds..

The word "stealth" come from the Stealth Airplanes or Stealth Jet Fighters, meaning they are nearly invisible or just difficult to find or see.
We use the word to mean we do a grow that is hidden in our homes, like a small grow on the closet shelf, or in a computer case, or in a small pantry, or a hidden small room, or in a grow cabinet or even in a refrigerator.

BUBBLEPONICS ...............many people wrongly think it means adding air stones to a DWC or Hydro grow adn amking the water bubble.
I have a friend who holds the trademark on the word and a patent on the process of HYDRO growing, using bubbles. His name is Martin Wiggett. It is a process of growing in HYDRO, like in a DWC, (Deep WATER Culture) but it uses an under water waterpump, that pumps water, air and nutes, mixed together, to each plant, root base or grow cup. The water pump is in the water, pumping water to an irrigation hub, a smmall container that the water is mixed with AIR, and then pumped to each grow cup. The results is a very rapid growth the first 14 days, until the roots reach intot he deep water. It is based sort of on a DRIP SYSTEM, but with a DRIP System, only solid water adn nutes are fed to each plant, and the roots can possibly drown from TOO much water. That is why you need a TIMER on a DRIP System. With BUBBLEPONICS, you feed BUBBLES down each tube to each plant, and there is an abundance of oxygen to each plant. ROOTS love air! as long as they stay wet and in the dark.

Let me go to www.stealthhydro.com and get you a few pics and see how they word it:
Introducing BUBBLEPONICS™, taking aeroponics to the next level...

Bubbleponics™ is the art of delivering highly oxygenated nutrient solution DIRECTLY to the inner root zone. The days of merely misting the outer roots with nutrient spray are over. Gone too are the days of over/under watering, over/under feeding; the Stealth Hydro bubbleponic system automatically maintains the ideal oxygen level of the nutrient solution so as to facilitate a healthy thriving root system.

so can you not get air to the roots with hydroponics or is it just water and nutes?

also is it possible to drown ur plant with hydroponics? sorry if it seems a daft question

with hyrdo as long as the roots are not completely in the water theyre going to get air. with some systems they use pump's to pump in more air to the roots. so the roots are getting air, water and the nutes. and you dont have to worry about the plants drowning as long as you dont use soil for your medium... which would be retarded..
