i'm hoping that one vert 315w CMH would be ideal in a 3 x 3 tent......I'll wait to see if anybody is familiar before pullin the trigger.

I think a 315 would be good for a 3x3.

Have you looked at the DE CMH?
Not yet I haven't. Have you tried the DE's? I guess I should research them.....my state is about to go legal (within the next 90 days or so), so right now I'm taking notes and comparing things. looking at CMH grows I'm really impressed......My wife can be a beech so its best for me to wait those 90 days, lol.

I haven't tried a DH CMH yet but I am looking at them. I currently run 1000w DE HPS and I hear the spectrum on the CMH is better.

The only issue I would have, not knowing the light itself, would be the attached ballast. I prefer being able to separate the ballast from the lamp and keep it out of the tent due to heat issues.

It's also a hell of a lot easier to swap a dead ballast. I hate having to get on a ladder and lean out over the plants to get a heavy ballast up and down. I think the high frequency ballasts have to be directly connected to the bulb and thus shielded to prevent RF interference.

Since we are in the civilized section of RIU, how is your led research going and what are your thoughts thus far? :peace:

I have looked at nanolux but I had a bunch of their DE HPS lights and ballasts kept dropping like flys. I replaced them with Phantom DE and Sun System DE ballasts and not one failure on those. I just don't trust that brand.

If it’s not too late htg has the digital greenhouse brand with the Phillips bulb for like 219 on website. You will want Phillips bulb anyways and they are around 100 bucks by themselves
