Hurricane Florence

I have a friend who lives in Washington NC. I have no idea how he votes, and I'm pretty sure storm surge doesn't either.
My sympathy goes out to the minority of people in North and South Carolina who voted for Clinton. Not only do they have to live with ignorant gun toting ignorant science denying ignorant racists but they must suffer the storm made worse by their ignorant neighbor's votes while listening to them ignorantly telling them about how Trump is doing great things in all his ignorance. Liberals should band together to help these beset upon liberals.

Talking about real science, how about if the people of North Carolina use fans to blow the hurricane back to the Canary Islands where it came from. I insist the maths is solid! Ten fans pointing east by each household in North Carolina would just about do it.

Spokane residents launch campaign to blow smoke back to Canada

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-45250923

They calculate that if each resident places at least five fans on the roof of their home, the city of 550,000 people could blow the smoke back. The organisers insist their maths is solid. "Team work makes the dream work," they wrote in the Facebook event page they created to promote the idea. "Let's do this, Spokanites. Let's send this smoke right back to those Canucks!"

Spokane is about 200km (125 miles) south of the Canadian border
Wouldn’t that just keep the smoke hovering in the next town north of Spokane in the states?

I think the idea is brilliant. Wind from fans is made from electricity. The electrically charged wind will cause smoke particles to condense and drop to the ground as feritilizer. The greening of the area will drop temperatures and combat global warming while increasing the food supply. It's win, win, win.

More air is needed to stop a hurricane, though.

The maths is solid!

3^5[5/6]^9{3}^5(700-3) .... 4*4
