Hunting down the perfect strain.

Hey there everyone! I am starting up a new grow one outdoor and one indoor. Right now I am looking for that perfect indoor strain for me and I know you guys can help me out. I know there's a million strains and hybrids, but I'm looking for some rather specific stuff. If something pops into your head just say it, it can lead me to the strain im looking for. So here it goes.

So, lately I've been thinking about wether or not to use an old school strain, a hybrid of old school strains or one of the new hybrids. I've been looking at a lot of NL hybrids, BB crosses, ak-47/48, LSD, etc...trying to find an indoor strain that somewhat meets up with these criteria. From most to least important.

-Feminized. I'm only growing a few plants so I'd rather not mess around.
-High Yielding/High quality. These must go hand in hand..no High potency/low yield or high yield/low potency
-Indica dominant. Indoor grow, wanna keep em short. Nuff said
-Easy growing. No mold, pest problems, also would like to shy away from nute sensitive strains.
-Good bag appeal. Nice colors, good frost, not all scraggly etc...
-Some other considerations..Dense buds, something different/new would be cool, feels like I've seen it all pretty much.
I think that's fine for now...I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. I'd like to make this thread more about experience than googling a strain that says it yields 750g a plant or some other bs statement.

I would try something like Blueberry Headband, or Cheeseberry haze by eskobar or Chocolate Rain All very heavy hitters and good yield and quite easy to look after

Cali Connections Purple Chem is in stock at the attitude and if your willing to spend $110 a pack i suggest you get it before they run out. Or DNA Holy Grail kush. If your looking for something cheaper i highly recommend Barneys Farm Critical Kush (Critical Mass x OG Kush) more than enough in terms of yield and being %100 indica it should give u the hammer u want at half the price.

Not necessarily the hugest yield, but makes up for it in flowering time.

What's better, 4 oz from a plant with a 70 day flowering time or 3 oz from a plant with a 50 day flowering time?

Assuming that you have a separate veg and flower room, here's how that math would break down..

For a 70 day strain, you can have 5.2 harvests per year (365 days / 70 day period) @ 4 oz per harvest = 20.8 oz a year

For a 50 day strain, you can have 7.3 harvests per year (365 days / 50 day period) @ 3 oz per harvest = 21.9 oz a year

So, as you can see yield is more complex than simply what strain produces more bud in a grow.

Fly all over the world collecting weeds and seeds would be a great job to have

does eskobar have a seedshop separate from sannies? ive been reading around that he has some awesome blueberrys (1,2 and 3), but dont know where to find it. all i see is the blueberry sativa on sannies, and i think im reading about some indicas that are more like dj short's.

I think I may go with the Critical Kush and use the attitude upcoming promotions if noone has any better ideas...If theres a good deal to be had somewhere else let me know.

Good point. Except I only plan on doing this grow then chilling for a while until i run out of bud..Should be good for awhile. Just planted 30 or so seedlings of some outdoor stuff

Some of the newer strains Ive grown that met most if not all of your requirements:

AK-48; Really fast flowering, good yield, decent potency, very, very hardy and nute resistant!
Pineapple Express; Good yielding, Good potency, very hardy resilient plant fast growth in veg, stinks to high heaven throughout the grow XD
Critical +; I grew it when it was called critical mass, beautiful plant, ridiculous yield, decent potency, extremely hardy, can take lots of nutes and punishment (burnt half of my bush and she still yielded high)

All of the above are strong indy's!

Other than that, from what I've heard and am currently running at the moment Dinafem's White Widow is supposed to have a heavy yield and as with most white strains, really potent. So far she's a strong grower big fat indica! And Sour Candy, got one of them on the go, really strong growing plant so far, using her as a mother, she's one of these fancy 'modern hybrids', beautiful so far.

and Barney's Farm; Amnesia Lemon, supposed to be a quick flowering hybrid with a sativa effect in the high, so far she looks like a 50/50 indy/sat, but growing really well and vigorous (more so than the white widow and sour candy I might add).

The Blueberry 1, 2, 3 is a special tester project Esko has going. He gave out packs to evryone who posted in the thread. Theres about 30 seeds to a pack and they are top notch genes.

Esko is a real deal breeder as in Sannie and they have killer strains at great prices.

Out of curiosity, why would you stay away from most strains mentioned?

As long as people are speaking from experience and strains they've actually grown and not just quoting websites and breeder info (because a lot of that stuff IS just marketing bs under 'perfect conditions') then it's all perfectly legitimate information

Ive been hunting for the perfect strain for 5 years now. Ive grown out many , many strains. Even made a ton of my own F1's. I still havent found it yet.

Afghani #1
BC Bud Depot Purps
DNA Genetics Sour Cream

I grew Blue Chem and I find that anything with Chem in it likes to turn hermi without stress.
