Richard W. Painter, former White House ethics lawyer for president George W Bush, on Twitter;

John Bolton was by far the most dangerous man we had in the entire eight years of the Bush Administration. Hiring him as the president's top national security advisor is an invitation to war, perhaps nuclear war. This must be stopped at all costs.

Drain the swamp.
Be careful you are specific about the one you want drained; the current administration is engaged in bleeding our federal agencies dry like the Dept of Agriculture, the FDA, the Department of Energy and many more, under exactly that excuse.

Our government and our society are now taking mass casualties.

It's time to fight the insanity while we still have the resources to do so.

It's pretty fucked up when high school students form the leading demographic of political activists in America today.

The powerful have found new ways to control the masses. Putin is expanding Russia and he knows he can get away with it. As far as guns it will take young voters to vote.

Thank you.

I've been saying this for many years here and the usual team players would rather die of thirst in the hyperpartisan desert than work together for their mutual interests.

That's why I'm involved with the Progressive Movement; because doing the same thing and supporting the same establishment clowns will no more yield different results in the future than it has in the past.

He only hires the best people
If Trump is serious about hiring John Boulton, then Putin is definitely getting better people.

Maybe instead of vilifying the Russians for acting in their own interests, we should be working to find and build on common ground.

Or is the establishment Democratic Party now so authoritarian that it can't contemplate cooperation anymore, either? I guess it depends on how much money the DCCC has taken from Lockheed Martin this election cycle...

with a murderous dictator?
The American 'democracy' has killed millions of innocent civilians around the world since 9/11/2001, including a million Iraqi citizens.

So who is the most murderous 'dictatorial' country? I'd say the United States has a fucking lock on that title.

Did you fail to notice that Putin won reelection last week? How does that make him a dictator, any more or less than our own presidential elections do? Are you now going to try to tell us that America's political process is any fairer or freer?

And while we're on the subject, it's fine for us to routinely meddle in Russian elections time and again but it's the end of the world if they try it with us?

You've got a bad case of double standards, along with some amazing blinders.

Russia and the US are really not as different as Rachel Maddow would have you believe.
