I'm an electrician. I won't go into the morals of this, but please if you do it make sure you are NOT GROUNDED!!! I don't know if you were kidding in your post, Assault, but if so, you are not funny. FYI molly, this is so dangerous without proper knowledge, please don't do it. To avoid contact with ground while working on live conductors is not easy even for those of us who know how.

I'll also add that that the voltage and amperage involved is not so important as the path the current takes through your body. 200 milliamps (that's 200 thousandths of an amp) passing through the human heart is usually fatal, where as the same amperage through the hand is never fatal. Amperage (electron flow) matters more than voltage (the motive force) as the electrons meeting resistance is what causes heat build up and internal tissue burns.

Never commit a crime (stealing) ... just so you can commit a crime (growing).

Have some freak'in standards for yourself. And if you don't value morality (which i have -some- sympathy for) then at least value your own freedom. Or live in a cage for a while, your choice.

People, people, what have we come to?
Let the person steal the lights. If they're too thick skulled to listen to good advice, they'll find out the hard way that:
1.)Stealing one would be very hard
2.)Stealing one would be very hard without killing yourself
3.)Stealing one would be very hard without breaking it or damaging it
4.)It's cheap to buy them at Lowes/online
5.)There is a penalty if caught, and not nearly worth a 40 dollar light

lol summed up and easy
