HPS lumens vs space?

ok, I have 500w of hps lights :idea::idea::idea:(2=150w & 2=100w) horizontally mounted in a white reflector @ 50,400 lumens total, inside of a 4'x4'x4' reflective interior grow box.

What I want to know is, will this be plenty enough lighting for this space?

I also have plenty of cfl's I can use to supplement with , as well as 4=22" fluorescent red/blue spectrum grow lamps and 4=1'x1' red/blue LED panels I can also use if I need to, but I'm thinking of a second smaller grow box for all those...but I'll use them in this box if need be

anyway, thanks guys/gals :peace:

Um yeah I would say your good as long as you have some good lights. Im running 120,000+ for a 7 plants. Oh yeah how many plants do you have?

4=auto ak47's (seeds just cracked open in the dirt)|, 2=auto Hindu kush's (breeding pair 1 male & 1 fem) & one other seedling auto kush only 3 days old...and yes, I'm using good potting mix, and biobizz nutes, so these babies are being well taken care of...lol :weed:

I have them all appx. 2' from the lights, and they are autos, which are smaller in stature and auto kush only needs a small 1-2 gal pot to grow them in...however, those auto AK47's need a bigger pot because unlike the auto kush's...theauto ak's get much taller and need alot more root space, maybe 3-5 gal. pots, "the deeper, the better"...from what I've read, 14"deep pots are optimal.

I still have about 5 weeks left on those adult auto HK's, so I'm hoping to work them around those 4 AK's in the bigger pots.

IDK? the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking about a 2nd grow box, with those 4 LED panels, a 4' fl shop light, several cfl's, & those 4-2' grow lamps....maybe a phototron type design...lol...hmmm...I'll have to think on that one bongsmilie

BTW...I just harvested 3 auto diesel-ryders last week, and I must say... I'm very impressed with both it's potency (mild couchlock), and it's very sweet taste...yum-yum (.; :weed:

In confined spaces, the wattage of the lamps will max out before the 50 watts/sq ft. noobs rave about. As long as temps stay in check you should keep a nice canopy with 500 watts like that.
