yeah that will work, as long as you follow all the hydro rules obviously. Personally, i keep mothers in soil because it is much much easier. Even a soil plant under cfl or fluorescents will produce plenty of cloneable branches, and it requires hardly any attention between harvesting it's branches. Also, my mothers are precious and it would fuck my op if they died, and things die in hydro a lot more then in soil. It's up to you of course, but i'd rather soil mothers and if i had money to spare id invest in some hid lighting to grow them under. That will produce many more clones then the "accelerated" growth of hydro.

just put the moms in thier own buckets fill the buckets with water and throw in an airstone and your done, why complicate things?

Now I'm no expert in the subject, but yes I would think you need to keep that air stone running 24/7. Someone else with more knowledge could probably verify but I believe that's correct.

in bubbleponics like that does the airstone run 24 7?

yes the air must run 24/7

roots need oxygen to survive, thats why they dont normally grow in water cuz once they use all the oxygen in the water they will drown

the air stone makes sure they never drown.

its actually called DWC deep water culture

bubbleponics is the same thing except you also have tubes dripping water into the pots also, which is compleatly not requied.

i just have 1 large resevoir and put all my plants in it

for your moms you can make one tub with a lots of holes in the lids to house your moms, that way u just have 1 or 2 tanks to worry about rather than each plant having its own tank. to pump air into and feed

I am going to have to agree with the soil solution. I love hydro, but for mothers it's just way easier to keep em in soil. fewer chances for problems and no need for extra work keeping any more water systems clean and healthy than you have to.

ya but the are really less maintenance cuz u gotta water soil plants but if u just make a lil bubbler for her she has water for weeks even, without having to refill,
