how to make a room in a room

I could only afford one 600 watt light system (phantom, radiant 8', hortilux bulb, ) and the room is 8ft deep 8ft tall 10ft wide. I wanted to pretty much cut that in half, or do whatever you guys think is best. If I could make a room in that room (without 2x4 and plywood possibly) then maby this could work better?

I am at an obstacle with this because I am not going to fail before I even start with a faulty grow room.

What should I do?

I was told using the whole room would be to my benefit, great I want to do this right. I just thought the light would be lost since its not in a tight space.

Less issues with heat if you use the whole room. Use the closet to veg. Is the closet door a regular door with a knob or the type that kinda swings open? If the latter you will need to find a way to block light from coming out and effecting the flower area.

One option that would be fairly easy and cheap to do if you want to concentrate/reflect light in the space would be to use DuroFoam insulation sheets, about $10-$12 for a 4x8' sheet. They should be available at Home Depot. That insulation has one reflective side which is rated around 95% reflectivity, I use it for the walls of my whole room (pic below for reference).

You can use 2x2's or even 1x1's to build a quick frame, use 2x4's to build some "feet" and have movable walls, you'd only likely need 2, hard to say since you haven't posted any pics.

This is the stuff I'm referring to, you could build 2 reflective walls for less than $50 using the 3/4" sheets...

Im using 2x4 and most likely durofoam for the wall I heard that using3/4 inch is able to be cut for ventilation duct to go through nicely? Im not doing drywall here, and then Panda on top of that (I had to make a room in a room.

I have a (I believe its warm air intake on the ceiling by where im putting my light,) and a window in the same room. I could also cut a hole through a sealed door out the back way as well...three different options I can think of, what do you think I should do

If you're not concerned about stealth, you could cut a piece of plywood with a vent hole in it, fit it in the window frame, seal & paint it to blend in. That's probably the easiest and simple to remove later, no cutting holes. At least you have some options there.

I've always wondered about this as well. I have my veg. area in the corner of a much
larger room and same with my flowering room. I feel like I'm wasting light also - it just makes sense to me that light bouncing around in a smaller area would be a more efficient use of the light. I've been reluctant to enclose it however because I get decent yields with my setup now and I have no heat issues. I usually hit a pound (yes, "about a pound") per 600 but I've never hit a GPW. If I knew that an enclosure would help me reach that milestone I'd do it but I guess I'm just too lazy to try it unless I'm certain I'll see a noticeable benefit.
