How to increase my yeild.

This is my second grow. I grew some amazing plants my first time. The look was there (covered in trichs), the taste was there, and it was well flushed. Unfortunatly i did not get the yeild i was really looking for. most of the buds were on the airy side.

1. I am using a 150 watt hps light- this is my main suspect for the non dense nugs. to test this theory i have one plant outside and one in my grow room to test the results.
2. Another idea i have is i may have over crowded and the plants were fighting for the limited light given by a 150 watt hps.

If anybody knows of any ways to increase yeild i am open to all ideas.

Scrog and Supercrop FIM and its better to have one plant that you grow out then to have a bunch of little plants :)

Try stronger light or less plants. If i only used 150w i would grow 1-3 plants LST and scrog.I use 400w and still have light issues if i let them just grow with no training.IMO 600w
in a small space is the way to go,but as far as electricity cost, use what you can afford.I spend roughly 200$ a year running 12/12 from seed with a 400w light,But that's 4-5 grows
of 9-12 mature plants.Outdoors is better for yield but has a whole lot of problems that could come with it, such bugs, bad weather, thieves, police and a lack of privacy.

I am attempting a scrog on this grow. I have topped it, and done lots of lst as well as super cropping it.. i have been trying to grow an even canopy also.

I figure my carbon dioxide generator adds 10-15% to my yield. Costs about $1.50 per week for the sugar and yeast.
Remember, CO2 is heavier than air, so, hang your jug up near the ceiling.

Good luck, BigSteve
