i have a basement grow going on and the temp and humidity is perfect. The past week it’s been raining and after a flood warning and shit water seeped into the foundation of my house and got a little wet in some parts of the basement but not near the plants. I’m thinking this is the cause of the flies. There is literally over 100 flies and they’re the big ones. I have many of those sticky traps and they just get filled complety with atleast like 80 or more on each one and still tons flying around. Any idea on how to get rid of them or how long before they go away ? I’ve never had this problem before but it’s also never got damp in the basement before

This isn't a necessarily helpful, but it's awesome.

I have a salt shotgun I use to kill pests.

I thinks it's called "bug a ssualt " its not going to rid you of your problems but its fun as hell.

Commercial kitchens also have fly problems I think they just use lots of those sticky traps? I know u said your using them but maybe more and throw away them after they get too many.

sounds like a routine demonic presence. no amount of traps will help, the demon simply conjures more and targets your loved ones, get a priest ASAP, and repent of whatever sins opened this door to begin with.

You have dead orgasmic materials around somewhere they they are breeding in. Probably a pile of maggots somewhere, assuming they are common house flies.

What kind of flies? Gnats?
They’re not house flys they’re the big ass slow flies that are slow and stupid so you can kill them easily because they stay right there but there literally over a hundred and didn’t appear until after the water got in the basement

They’re not anywhere else there’s nothing around they’re feeding off of they’re all around my plants chilling on the leaves sunbathing in the light

I wonder how many times Dumb Donald rubbed one out in the White House so far.
At this stage, I'd probably just burn the shit to the ground before moving in there.

Sounds like bluebottle flies I had a similar problem a few years ago and the cause was a dead bird, couldn't believe how many flies and maggots come from it. I found the bird in a drain pipe outside but my loft was infested with 100's of flies.

I’ll have to do some investigating and see if I can find something. Thanks for the help atleast I’m not the only one who’s had that problem. They didn’t damage your plant at all did they. They haven’t damaged mine they just chill on them because the light

Is that why they call it the Whitehouse? Because of all the oral that goes on in there.
It’s honestly probably called the White House because of the racism at the time. But yeah now the White House probably refers to all the sploosh blown on peoples faces by trumps little pecker

Yeah bugs are pretty stupid. They'll go towards just about any light source. Including small flames...

I wasn't growing at the time so couldn't help there, but if it is bluebottles they won't bother your plants, they just bug the fuck out of you, stupid, docile flies that u can catch, and smell. Good luck.
