1. Roll it up has got to choose you and then push some buttons on the computer and change your POWERS.

2. If one of the current moderators does not think you should be a mod.. he or she could really get in RIU's ear and things become very unlikely that YOU would get modded

3. I (GK) will do my best not to let anybody else be a moderator who does not try and follow these rules...

A- as a moderator you are not to get offended by anything on the site. If you do get offended.. you need to step away from the keyboard and comeback to the issue when you are not offended. or ask another mod to handle it.. A person that is offended is reactionary.. reactionary people are DRONES... we have enough drones in this world..

B- your main goal is to make others feel comfortable on the site...
If somebody tells you to go fuck yourself, you job is not to bash them back your job is to ASK THEM... how YOU can make there stay at RIU better.. clearly "you" have offended them and your first obligation is to them to make them feel at home... this doesn't mean you grab your ankles... but you don't attack the members personally.... you can attack their points of view and stay within context... but attacking them, even when they attack you is not our job... it makes all the mods look bad...

c- we are not here to be right, to prove others wrong, to be the best or to put others down. we are here to help ..assist.. motivate... encourage
INTIMIDATING the members is LAME.. and the members will not tolerate that shit..

d- if something does offend or does break the rules and there is no way around it.. and you have to make the call.. DON'T make a scene.. don't fight.. just BAN...

EXAMPLE -

pedophile in the chat room - BAN
CHILD PORN LINK - BAN
selling weed - BAN


e- and finally... my biggest issue.. YOU are never to attack or be rude to a fellow mod on the site.. except in the staff only section... WE never air our dirty laundry...

Lacy I love this idea.... so add another female vote for the ladies grow room. It would be great to had a special area for us girls to bs in.

I don't want to take this thread completely off topic .... but to answer russOr's question... there are a lot of guys on this site. I would be willing to bet at least 90% of the members are male.

Female pot farmers really are not that common - so having a 'girls room' would mean a lot to me. Women tend to have a different perspective on things then men do, and the board is filled with the male perspective. I'm not dogging on it - I love guys!

But it would be nice to have a spot like the toke and talk for women. I would like to discuss issues that are light and heavy (parenting, equality in the workplace, etc.) without having some nimrod kids interjecting. I'm not talking about the mature males with brains that we have here in the elite forum. But you have to admit we have some really stupid fucks who visit the board.

How bout a test... maybe I'll make a girl's room post in the toke and talk and see how it takes off.

Yes they are, but how many men on the site do you know that want to smoke a bowl and discuss what the best way of handling a situation with thier kid is? I just don't think there would be much demand.

You don't want to go into the equality issue with me fdd.... I just got laid off from a job with the reason from my manager being 'sometimes the tone you use makes me feel like your my mother'. HUM...... I have 4 kids kinda hard to not sound like a mom at times. WTF and all the while I'm being praised by the owners of the company for the work I do.... Truth was my boss was an insecure man and he knew I was smarter than him so I had to be let go. So yeah that's equal and fair right?! Before that boss I had a boss who liked to make comments on how women aren't that bright.... before that I was sexually harrassed by management and told by a co-worker 'Shut the fuck up before I rape you' ... huh they didn't fire that co-worker and I ended up quitting. I'm suing them currently. Amazing how you can be a capable, smart and attractive women and have it fuck you over in the workplace. Too cute... your supervisor is telling you about his wet dreams about you.... too smart and your boss is scared your going to take his job.

See what can of worms you opened.... god I sound bitter. Apologies to anyone who reads this.

i filed a sexual harassment complaint against a FEMALE co-worker while working at hewlett-packard years ago. she kept telling me about her period and stuff. she got in a lot of trouble. i was asked if i would like to file a lawsuit and pursue it. i said NO.


i have had numerous discussions on this forum with fellow MALE parents. it's usually the dads with teenage sons who they catch smoking pot. so, yes, many of us would love to discuss parenting.

not ALL men want to rape you. i'm fully satisfied at home. :mrgreen: seems like this whole idea is because some women have bitterness towards men. sounds a little sexist. just a little. :peace:

Don't scrap this idea because I come across as a man hating bitch. It was Lacy's idea and I don't know what her vision is for the section. If my views would stop you guys from adding the section - I'll bow out of posting there.

i'm sorry. i didn't mean to be mean. guess we both have been exposed to f$cked up work places. my last boss told me it was his job as a boss to belittle and disrespect me. said he wasn't a good boss if he didn't. i told him to go F$CK himself. needless to say he fired me with a big grin on MY face and MY head held high. dignity intact. 5 years i gave that guy.

i was at a job for 2 weeks until one of the hire ups was telling me about the work place... and reassuring me that it's a pretty easier and laid back job because "we don't hire any bitches here"

Please don't apologize girly. i already made a thread about this very topic and it went over VERY well. Most of the gentlemen out there were very supportive.

I also don't think it is about men haters.:? Gosh. thats a tad harsh. I don't know how many times I have expressed how I love the guys here. :mrgreen:

Its not being sexiest fdd, its just being comfortable. We aren't asking for a room that we are ONLY going to go and visit but just a room where we can go to chat about dis and dat with other woman.( a woman's perspective.)

It can be VERY intimidating sometimes to post anything about certain subjects here for woman and girly is right, it is basically a forum 90% men.

I don't understand why any of you would feel threatened by such a request. (unless you feel insecure.)
I admit to sometimes feeling insecure and there is NO DOUBT whatsoever that men and woman communicate differently. Its not a matter or being right or wrong.
And I have spoken to Mr. rollitup himself and even he admitted that he wishes there were more women here.
I think if there was a room where the ladies to go to even when first joining the site, you would have a lot more woman coming and staying.

This has nothing to do with us not being happy.

The request honestly wasn't meant to be an insult to any of you guys out there.
We just communicate differently and sometimes we need to 'stitch and bitch' or 'chill' before we post seriously in the rest of the forum.

Its just one little forum. Out of all the different sections they have here, what's the big deal?

Nobody's upset at anyone that i know of and it wasn't meant to open a can of worms either.
