How small do you keep you mother?

Space is a big issue for me and I'm wondering how small I can keep my mother's? How small do you keep yours? I would like to keep 4 or more. Could I keep them in 3.5" pots? Who's got the smallest mom's?

Hey and welcome to RIU

that all depends on how man clones you want.

Small if your not needing alot of clones or clones for awhile.

I keep mine as small as I can ,,,but they tend to get kind of bushy because they are tipped so much... its gonna have to be trial and error as far as those little pots go... some kind of Bonsai mothers

So as long as I keep up with my root pruning. It should be fine? I am hoping to keep 4+ moms and when I need to cuttings in a 12"w x9"h x14.5"L.

yup
the smaller the container, the smaller it will be.
Id say a 1 gal or so would b fine....
